From an outsider’s view - Busways keep their fleet far cleaner than Southlink Lonsdale ever did. This even more so on the inside of their buses
First person on 822, 865 (2016 re-route).
Last person on 164, 867, 868

That is pretty much the case with all Busways ops and always as been.

Most weekends and Public Holidays Morphettville and Mile End Depots don't schedule gas buses on any of their despatches.Former driver37 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 10:50 am Does anybody know why Newton depot are running gas buses today instead of diesel ones been at Marion for the last 1hr and seen 3 Newton gas buses normally gas ones dont operate on a Sunday unless footy or its the drivers preference so far ive seen 1765 1770 and 1781

Any number of things could affect it. Weekend maintenance or wash requirements, reorganising the yard to facilitate peak allocations at the start of the work week, buses stowed among diesels or in locations that effectively necessitate their being sent out.

Newton depot operates gas buses on most weekends. With 45% of the fleet there being gas buses according to Fleet Lists, with mechanical and other requirements, they obviously need to send them out.Former driver37 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 10:50 am Does anybody know why Newton depot are running gas buses today instead of diesel ones been at Marion for the last 1hr and seen 3 Newton gas buses normally gas ones dont operate on a Sunday unless footy or its the drivers preference so far ive seen 1765 1770 and 1781

I worked around the corner from Newton depot for the better part of a year, and I can confirm that gas buses operate from there every day, whether it’s a weekday, Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday.

Re: (May/June 2021) Transport observations
If I recall prior to being withdrawn and put on rail subs the Mercedes Benz O305 & O305G were checked over beforehand. Maybe the NL202 buses will be used on upcoming rail substitutes i.e Outer Harbor Line
Next station is Victoria Square. Change here for all trains.
Re: (May/June 2021) Transport observations
The fleet has been going an intensive maintenance program over the first year of Busways operations, including a deep clean, followed by ongoing better cleaning procedures. Nice to hear it's being noticed!Lt. Commander Data wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 2:36 pm From an outsider’s view - Busways keep their fleet far cleaner than Southlink Lonsdale ever did.
