Hello all. I’ve recently been employed by Torrens and look forward to serving our community and learning from experienced drivers.
I begin my training very soon and would appreciate any observations about what to expect.
Coming in from a trade background. I managed to beat cancer recently but surgery has left me unable to continue with my trade.
I refuse to be a victim and I never take anything for granted.
I just want to make the most of my opportunity and be as committed as one should expect from a team player.
Thanks in advance

Thanks jibb. I appreciate your support
St. Agnes will be my allocated depot after training at Morphettville
I am very impressed by the support and non discriminatory attitude shown by Torrens throughout the pre employment process.
My last hurdle is gaining accreditation and passing the training . I must say it was a great experience driving that arctic bus on my interview.
I was using PT a lot during my chemotherapy treatment. Drivers were good honest people every time.
I think sometimes it’s the passenger who needs accreditation, not the drivers! .. some real fools on the bus at times

Thats good to hear about Torrens..
They have a good reputation, of course there are always those who are unhappy.
St Agnes is the second biggest depot for Torrens Transit with over 180 buses, both O-Bahn and Non O-Bahn.
Again good luck and keep posting.
