Many PT users are exploiting the discontinued sales of paper tickets. It will continue to be a problem indefinitely. I have observed a significant increase this year compared to last year as a passenger alone.

Unless the departments brings the ticketing system from the 1980s back into the 2000s, then there is no simple solution for this.

It will continue imo until metrotickets are either sold again or totally withdrawn from use. Perhaps they could be replaced with a single use metro card (similar to what Opal I think have) or especially credit card validation on buses

I think they’ll roll out the same technology for cards as they have on the trams - a reminder that many, many more cities other than Adelaide don’t accept cash fares.

Torrens Transit MAN NL 202 1356 returned to service this afternoon after a considerable time off the road.
Also O-Bahn Scania Artic 1146 returned to service yesterday afternoon-it too had been out of service for quite some time.

Is it just me or is Busways Lonsdale doing a lot of not in service running between services the other day i seen one coming out of Hallet cove beach stn and run NIS to Aldinga beach to do a 750 to NCI and there seems to be a lot at Marion shops then running NIS to Flinders, Reynella, and vice versa surley this can't be good for running an efficient business as NIS running isn't making money its just burning money on fuel/ running costs

How do you know it went from Hallet Cove Beach to Aldinga to do an up 750?
Dead running from/to Marion/Flinders/Reynella is perfectly ok and needs to be done in order for some services to make their start times. Pretty difficult scheduling everything so it all fits together seamlessly.
There have been some ridiculous shifts in the past - there was once a service out of Lonsdale that, iirc, terminated at Salisbury and the driver then had to run NIS down to either Reynella or Hallett Cove for his next run. Southlink broken shifts used regularly to run from down south into the CBD, run NIS out again and then do another up service into the CBD.

They still do today. There is at least one T721 that leaves B1 KW St before 4:30, and then goes back $ to B1 to start another T721 or similar.

These are the downsides of having such a small contract area.

And 1331 is out today. Not as unusual as 1332 doing a 'GA3' this month though.

And another observation: A bus on a M44 from GG to Marion got to TTP 5 and a half minutes early according to the 'Anytrip' app tonight. I would assume that this run has 3 spare minutes in the timetable to cater for loadings at TTP.

Most tend to arrive there several minutes early from my obs. It used to be 16 minutes from Golden Grove at night.

I heard on Facebook that 20 buses were going to be transferred from Mile End to Morphettville to make way for the Sealink buses that will go to Mile End. Scania Bustechs 1036-1044 are already at Morphettville so does anyone know which other buses will be going there?

After shift cuts only 9 buses went to Morphettville instead of the 20 that were first mentioned

Cant see it mentioned here yet, 1738 and 1739 have both had an “R” prefix added to their fleet numbers
