They're on loan as DPTI owned buses. Once they become surplus, they will be presumably be transferred back to Mile End.

Southlink are unlikely to receive many if any new standard rigid buses until 2216 and 2217 are retired around 2022. 2201-2214 were built in 1998, with 2215 being from 1999.

Yes, that is true. I often forget the SL's are a good few years older than the diesel NL's at Southlink and Torrens for that matter. Now that i've got my license, I've been travelling on buses less and lost track - are there any diesel SL202's left? I would presume not...

Only 56 SL202s remain in service sadly, and they're all ex Sercco CNG ones. These being 841-848, 850-864, 866-874, 876-882, 884-895, 897-899, and 840 (ex 1600, last one built).

The last diesel SL was retired around the end of March 2018 (445 at St Agnes).

NL's 2201-2215 were delivered to Serco as 419 to 433, Torrens Transit 1331 and 1332 being ex Serco 221 & 222 Southlink got Serco 223-252
366 (1333) 367 (1334) 368 (1335) 374 (1336) 375 (1337) 377 (1338) Torrens Transit 254 being ex TA1741 the fleet numbering has confused everyone

They've been in service for several weeks. 1992 was built late last year which saw the end of 1630.

3276 was spotted on train subs just now.

2605 was spotted Not In Service heading north on West Tce. Unusual to see one of these buses in the city.

A van had a side-on collision with what looked like a Man HOCL-NL just now on Seaford Road at the Bunnings roundabout. Could not see fleet number or rego plate because the road was blocked.

The bus in question sounds like an MAN 18.280. These were built from 2002-2003 to replace the 22-23 year old B58 rigids which were based at Lonsdale.

Still not used to seeing these Torrens Buses on 7xx Routes,

also a couple rare TT observations, I did see Scania L94UB 1226 on City Connector (98A) tonight, and 1901 on a 254X yesterday.
Have any Camden Park BCI's been temporarily transferred to Mile End while theirs are at SouthLink during the rail closure? I ask because I've seen 1983 on J1X's lately.

A number of buses were moved around just for last Friday because it was a weekday AO footy day and different shifts are operating from all depots. I know that some buses from Morphettville and St Agnes went to Mile End just for Friday, not sure if any Camden buses were moved. All back to their home depots again by now though.

I am wondering how Mile End is going to cope with both peaks next week with 3 Artics and 20 Bustechs at Lonsdale-I am sure they haven't got enough spares around all depots to cover that shortfall?
Morphettville should be OK as it only lent 3 Artics.

1575 spotted in AOA for AAMI tonight.

Also spotted a sense of humour on 1903 - apparently you can't trust a free service.
