  • The last route 150P services from Largs Bay to Port Adelaide will operate (and return 150B short running services).
  • The last route 721L services will operate.
  • The last route 722A services will operate (being renumbered to 722).
  • The last route 724 services will operate.
  • The last route J1 services to operate via Philip Hwy (Elizabeth South shops).
Most of these lasts will be on Friday with a few lasts to operate on Saturday. Don't forget your last photos or rides while you can!

TA3001 wrote:According to the realtime info, several services have been running 20+ minutes late this afternoon/evening. Even a service departing West Lakes in the next 20 minutes is showing up as being 38 minutes late.

Would there be a reason behind this? Although, most services seem to be back on time.
Several rail crossings had boom gates stuck down in the extreme heat which heavily delayed some bus services.

Some train and tram services were cancelled in the afternoon and some services were running 30+ minutes late. All modes of transport are usually affected in such extreme heat.

I'm curious why Torrens Transit Port Depot doesn't use their 17 bus O-Bahn fleet at nights and weekends and Public Holidays?

I thought they might have been used on other Port Depot based services--ie H30/110/254/230/115/118?,rather than sit idle in the depot?

May as well send out high floor buses on weekends then rather than sit idle in the depot

Why send out specialised buses that aren't needed?

Big difference between ageing high floor buses and fairly modern Scanias.
Morphettville put their O-Bahn rigids out at the weekend on non-O-Bahn routes so I don't see why Port Depot should be any different!

There may be a concern that non-O-Bahn trained drivers take them out during a weekend and in the process damage a guide wheel

Unusual to be out on a Sunday.

The myStops app is still showing 333s as being scheduled to operate today. Are there plans to update it to reflect the timetable changes?

Port Depot is an all diesel fleet whereas Morphettville has a high number of gas buses, so O-Bahn buses are more likely to be used to make up diesel requirements on a weekend than Port Depot.

It may also be driver familiarity - perhaps O-Bahn buses on non O-Bahn work are driven by drivers with O-Bahn permits and who know how to drive them without damaging guidewheels, whereas not so many drivers would have O-Bahn permits at Port Depot.

Yes I thought it may have been an error on NextThere saying 259 but sure enough it was 259. Something very different for a Sunday morning :D

What is happening with green/yellow striped Bustech electric buses:

1. One has been parked along side the fence at Mile End depot for a long time.
2. How many were built?
3. Where are the others.

Looks like another total waste of money by the previous SA State Government - what an incompetent bunch they were and Tom Couts (the complete idiot) is still around.
WE certainly are lucky in SA having such quality leadership - NOT!!!!

Tim-2 were built over 18 months ago(launched 26th June 2017 after receiving a $2 million grant from the then SA Government),as you said 1 is sitting at Mile End,the other is at Precision Buses(ZF Lemforder) at Edinburgh . Apparently there have been many problems, and so far they have yet to be resolved.
The now opposition have not said a word since they were first manufactured(does that not surprise you?).

Interesting my comment last week questioning why Port Depot is not using any of its 19 Scania OBahn rigids at night--with the new weekday rosters that commenced yesterday TT have started using them at night!

I heard there was an incident involving a Southlink bus and several cars near Flinders Uni this morning.

The mention of this reminds me of 1701's venture several years ago.

Port is using their Obahn buses weeknights because there’s now some intermediate shifts from there involving some track work. Two extra track buses at Port, 1824 and 1825, to cope with the extra track work now rostered from there.

Noticed at Morphettville Depot this afternoon that a number of "retired 1700 Midis" have been removed from the TSA yard at the rear of the Depot and placed on the tracks? Would be interested to know why?

There’s at least a dozen of those Midis on track at Morphettville. Midis a bit small to use as substitutes for trains: perhaps they’ll be used on regular work to release larger buses for rail subs?
