I believe that all of the Torrens Scania CB80s (rigid and artics) now have yellow headers, but happy to be proved wrong. Certainly every one that I saw in my time on the road yesterday and today were yellow. The rail sub artics are still black and only some of the Ivecos have been done.
My only question is.....why?

Torrens Transit have almost completed theirs.
I had a vision impaired gentleman riding my bus who had previously advised that he had difficulties seeing the (then new) red fronted buses approaching. I asked him if the yellow header had made a difference, he advised that it didn't. He's not realy looking at the header when he's looking down the road to see if a bus is coming or not.

Next time Fleet lists is updated 2 to alter.

The Mitsubishi Rosa at Elizabeth for some time now is 3134 not just Plain 34.

And 2413 is at Elizabeth not Lonsdale.
Living on the 228 bus run.

Does it say 3134 on the side, or just 34? I remember when it used to be at Aldgate/Mt Barker, usually on 894s and 866/868s.

In other news, traffic chaos for Hills services this evening. The usual trauma getting through Hindmarsh Sq, unusually bad traffic between Greenhill and Fullatron Roads on Glen Osmond Rd and to top it all off a broken down car on the freeway restricting it to 2 lanes between the Tollgate and the tunnels. My T863 at 17:40 was 7mins late to get to Light Sq (due to the fact it was late on it's previous runs) and then 15 late to Stirling. Luckily my 865 waited...

Most routes were running up to 30 minutes late tonight as a result of heavy downpour-unavoidable.

Will the artics be changed as well? AFAIK only 1182 is "yellowed" currently, possibly 1849 and 1850 as well.
Yes 1849 & 1850 have had yellow headers for some time now. 1170, R807 & a few of the Newton CB80 artics now have them as well.

1171 & 1172 are still black as far as I know, not sure exactly which Newton CB80 artics have been yellowed but I know some have.

3231 was also done tonight, with 3234 and 3236 not being done yet. None of the artics I saw (3372, 3376, 2855) have been done either, nor 3227, 3228 or 3229. I guess the yellow CB80s won't need to be done, becuase they're already yellow.

I wouldn't see much point in doing it to the yellow-fronted CB80's, but hey it wouldn't surprise me :P

You can see where the 34 Got peeled off as it too close to a light to Apply the 4 Numbers now 3134.

3233 with a yellow header now. I assume 3232 has been done as well.

Fleetlists have been updated, few changes for both LCB and SouthLink. While there are two dozen changes for Torrens Transit, mainly relating to the 11.190's and relocation of numerous buses ;)

Several new entries have been listed like that. It's a good habit to check the spelling before copying and pasting.

Spelling errors aside, it's good to see some more frequent updates to the fleet lists. Keep up the good work :)

Correction, 1171 & 1172 now both have yellow headers cos I saw them both today. Do all of the Newton CB80 artics have yellow headers as well now? I know 1173, 1174 & 1180 do but not exactly sure about the rest, could someone please clarify

How can yellow headers aid vision impaired people when the route number and associated info is yellow as well? To make it stand out the header should be black. Is there any known proof that yellow headers assist VIP's in reading a desto's yellow text on a black background or is it just the decision of some half-wit director at AdMet who thinks it's a good idea?

On one of my regular routes today I had recently delivered bus 1942 doing it, I noticed several differences between it being a K320UB and the K280UB 'CB80's.
- Has a different size / type next stop button and has a weird next stop buzzer; a Buzz followed by some chimes.
- One of the window / structural frame uprights half way along the bus on the drivers side is about 3 or 4 times wider than before and has a similar width filler piece of window panel attached to it on the outside.

Are they deafening like on 2402 or at a moderate volume? Passengers don't need to be alerted that the vehicle's stopping at the next stop by what is almost an explosion in their ears.

Volgren have gotten away with using a simple ding for a while now, and there's been no lawsuits regarding it as far as I know.

Saw TT 1309 on Darley Road this afternoon-it still hasn't had the yellow header applied.

1381 has been done for quite some time. Have heard it may be a new DPTI requirement... Any truth to that?

Apparently Volgrens in redmet (lik 3230, 1391, etc) can't be done because the header is built in. Just as well really, imagine how bad they would look. I'm guessing the same goes for the few CR221Ls ex-Darwin as well, so no yellow headers for them either.
