W3 668 is not in Victoria as the cars have got NSW rego plates on them.At a guess Rutherford in that area 1978 or 1980.

It has been possible to drive from NSW to Victoria since 1903. I've driven there myself and parked next to a tram, several times!

The cars all seem to be Fords. The two-storey building across the street is quite old. I'll say, Newcastle.

Their is a reason. It's a "car park", but not a car park

I'll say, Newcastle.[/quote]Your answer is to broad, requires more information.
Maybe it's not the only "tram" nearby? A nearby link perhaps (?) to Morpeth, San Souci, West Wallsend/Speers Pt, Broken Hill, Kogarah, Rogan's Hill)

WAS now I think, and that building behind the bus stop has been demolished, or possibly reduced in size.

On google street view, the bus stop across the street is still there, the white building in your photo has been demolished, there is another car dealer there.

The only thing I know about this car dealer, is that in 1969 and 1970 they had a very catchy tv jingle or ad. I don't recall now, what was catchy about it. Maybe dancing girls. I used to stay at my granny's sister's place near Morpeth, and, whatever it was, that ad really caught my attention.

Anyway, I got no suitable photo at the moment, so open floor.

Mount St North Sydney, outside of Shore School.
(The last two letters on the tall building in the top left corner gave it away).
