Where were you able to access the bus number on the real time data?

I download the GTFS feed from the translink website and convert the data with a python script. Then search for the operator ID and fleet number from that data. Brisbane Transport's operator ID is -1366625436, so I search for VU--1366625436_776. If it finds it in the data then it is in service, 4 lines after this is the route id.

I use the data in excel which automatically reads the data and shows which buses are in service and on which routes. (currently only setup for Westside, but I intend to extend it to all operators at a later date and get it online for others to access...but this is a while off).

Seems 735 is now withdrawn too according to the BT website. Have to get to Virginia and see what's parked up.

I saw 735 in service only a week ago so I was surprised to see it appear as withdrawn, akin to 776 is still showing on BT Buses as withdrawn when it was still in service.

There are 2-3 lanes of Scania's parked up at S also. Not sure of the numbers but they're there.

Just seen a Scania at Eagle Farm on a low loader. Not sure if it's being unloaded or loaded tho.

Anyone know the current status/whereabouts of V737 and V786? I haven't them in service since November 2013 and October 2014 respectively.

Both now de-registered and out of service. Where they actually are is another question.

Maybe a bit pedantic, but are these two buses totally de-registered (i.e. registration cancelled, registration plates returned and withdrawn from the BT fleet) or just out of registration (i.e. registration is not current, registration plates still attached so that the bus could be easily placed back in service after payment of registration fees).

The rego check shows them as NOT REGISTERED which generally means that it's been cancelled - and when they are cancelled the plates have to be returned.

The Brisbane City Council are fairly good at paying their rego fees considering all of their vehicles are on a common due date of July 1 each year.

But if they are reinstated then new plates can be simply attached. With so many new volvos coming on I doubt a return to service will happen anyway.

Is there a reason that BT are seemingly replacing low floor air conditioned Scanias with 5-6 years service remaining? On the face of it, not a good financial decision.
