Has anyone ever heard of Golden Coach Tours from around the mid/late 1970s? ... possibly even the early 1980s?
Known info so far is that Glynn Norton (Son of Percy Norton of Norton Motors Burnie) purchased this vehicle and provided tours from Devonport. Unfortunately Glynn passed in April and I wasn't able to ask him directly.
Any info much appreciated.
Cheers

Get ready to drool. Here is a photo from the Bruce Tilley Collection of the bus as shown new in January 1966:

That is amazing ... And the date of 1966 is also interesting the family thought it was more after he got out of the refrigerated transport business in 68. Glynn was flat out with the truck business so I imagine this would have been a huge leap for him.
Can anyone make out the initials on the side? I can see the Norton part but can't make out the initials

Looks like G & L Norton of East Devonport.

Wasn't sure if it was a G or F ... for a moment I was thinking maybe Bob had a hand in it too. Thanks for that

System improver ... I have shown the family Bruce's photo and they still maintain that Glynn never got the bus until he got out of trucks in 1968 ... is it possible that Bruce may have the year wrong? not trying to argue with Bruce's info ... just trying to nail down some dates as to when Glynn got out of the trucks

Bruce didn't make too many mistakes in recording, and this isn't one of them either. Fortunately, the March 1966 edition of Truck & Bus Transportation has the proof. Not only does it show the official delivery (first pic) but they also published the photo in Bruce's Collection as part of a story (2nd pic):
