MTT BUT Trolleybus No.240 [ex Launceston 329]
No. 240 [ex 329] was one of 5 surplus Launceston J.A. Lawton of Adelaide built trolleybuses transferred to Hobart to replace ageing Canton Leyland trolleys in 1963-4. No. 240 is photographed in Macquarie Street Hobart c.1964.

My apologies for resurrecting an old thread. Just curious if you can tell me what make/model vehicle this was? I'm guessing that it might have been a Sunbeam MF2B?

Launceston trolley bus details are:
British United Traction* (B.U.T.) chassis Model ETB1 with British G.E. 125hp motor & GEC MW8 controller.
Bodywork by J.A. Lawton, Adelaide, S.A. via agents H.C. Heathorn.
[* B.U.T. was an amalgamation of Leyland & AEC]
