The only thing missing from this fine collection is a few shots of the earlier sharply angled windscreen models of the early 70s.
I've never seen the 1617 Benz before, and it's couple of similar mates. It really wouldn't have taken much to modify these into quite acceptable looking vehicles. If Mee bodies were girls, I'm guessing they would all lead a very lonely life!
There was one style around 1971 that was quite nice in appearance. It was in the other Mee's thread (no. 10?), and Blue Riband had one also ..(no.1?). I don't why they didn't just continue on down that path.

Yes, it did look quite nice. The photo comes from the Andrew Potts Collection Vol 1. Speaking of which, Volume 2 has been scanned and is in its finishing stages. An announcement about how to obtain the CD will be made soon.

Was this the body style you refer to?stajourneyman wrote:The only thing missing from this fine collection is a few shots of the earlier sharply angled windscreen models of the early 70s.
That front end is the stuff of nightmares.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !

DENAIR,
I know it's been over 10 years and the images above are no longer available. Would you have a pic of DFM430 MELBA MCA / CAT3208?
Cheers.
