Modern Day Coachmaster UNSW

Post by Swift »

Took these pics at gate 14 the other night.
The front looks like it was inspired by the Coachmaster body Hunters Hill Bus Co. purchased on Leyland and AEC chassis in the late 60's. PMC also had a similar headlight formation.
Even the taillights are similar, though only three cells each side on the Coachmaster.

Why are western countries determined to dissolve themselves? It's a sickness.
People are obsessed with appearing typical to others. Australians are the worst in that aspect -by far.

It looks a lot like a Volgren C222TX body. Might not be though.
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Nowhere near as stylish as a Coachmaster.

You are correct!
Love the new Custom Denning vehicles
Including the Adventurer School Bus
And the Endeavour Low Floor
Both of which are based on Denning Phoenix bodies

Strangely, the superimposed Coachmaster front is actually an improvement over the hideous Volgren one.

I'm glad someone appreciates it. It does look surprisingly good for something that was meant strictly as a gag haha.

I do prefer that shop-over Coachmaster front on the C222TX - unless the bus has a bullbar on it. C222TXs do look pretty good with bullbars. Also, I assume the taillights were modified? Standard C222Txs as far as I've seen have a different taillight arrangement.

Taillights weren't touched. Pictures on the first post were originals.

I mean the taillights on that bus are different to most C222TXs:

I have indeed seen that taillight cluster with the Coachmaster lookalike front. I'd say the round style was a mark II version.
