Great Pics TAA727. Not fond of the positioning of the Bustech logo on the front

I bet that the Bustech logo on the front wont last long! Better suited on the back IMO. Nice photos, hope to see it in a few days time.

I'm with you on that one Bidgee.

I like the new Hop logo for the TfNSW livery-anyone know any other operators which'll get the new logos soon enough, or is Berejilikan's Graphics Department still slow to make the new graphics?

I believe the reasoning behind the Bustech logo on the front is to cover the area where the 3 lights were (that STA didn't want)

Yes, it's Euro 5. The current K280UBs meet Euro 5 standards. The first Euro 6 Scania buses aren't due in Australia until mid-2014 when Action of Canberra start to receive their new K320UBs.

Thanks,

I worked for a Federal Department that I would swear after every election had a change of name, by other portfolios being added or removed. The absolute wastage that went on scrapping all the forms, brochures, name badges, building identification etc, etc. each time, (and we had offices Australia wide and overseas) and reprinting with the new name. A little less impact now with electronic forms and booklets. Agree 100%. Taxpayers I think only become aware of a small percentage of the wastage that goes on out there in government.

I can't see what was wrong with the waratah as a logo, and was easily understood as NSW. But, politicians (and many managers) have this 'dog and the telegraph pole' mentality - have to leave their mark.

I worked in a govt bus depot for years...................there were boxes and boxes of bus timetables thousands and they just sat there because they deceided that the public couldn't access the bus depot for security reasons! then a new time table would come out..................and new boxes of them delivered the boxes and boxes of old ones would go to the dumpster, some drivers would take timetables and put them in the buses ,that night the buses would come in with timetables all over the floor as ppl would pick one up look at it and throw it on the floor!the waste was and still is hurendous!same with uniforms ect ! same as number plates black/yellow then olympic plates/then st xxxx what was wrong with black and yellow! :twisted:also they can't stand anything OLD when I was arranging the depots 50th birthday Ifound heaps of historical things the day after birthday the then manager threw everything in dumpster i was devostated the books on opening of depot ,badges, tickets all to tip, as far as he was concerned it was all junk   so much wastage goes on in all depts yes as soon as a new govt goes in ,all new logos ,ect because there not paying for it

Apart from the fact, the white on blue logos aren't very effective!

Like it or not, these are the logos now being supplied by the contracted decal manufacturer to TNSW as per TNSW specifications.

Bus decals are white to go on blue panels or blue to go white panels.

It's in line with the whole 'Transport' 'brand' - one criticism the private operators had was the use of the waratah logo, so they went away and with other things in play with the trains, came back with the brand - probably why some recent TfNSW repaints recently have come back with not alot of logos on them

I think it's a good idea, the only waratah that should be seen should be associated with whose providing the service!

Yes, but I believe this is the only one that has Bustech there, all other ones that I've seen are just blank.
