What screws it up is the dark blue bumper bar. Apart from that its fine
Re: STA 2239
Is the seating and standing stickers high enough?
Horrible livery.
Could call it the Keneally livery, all arrows pointing to the door!

So much for the John Lee livery which simplified painting of individual panels on the bus. This will complicate matters when things need to be replaced!

Re: STA 2239
One smash (and the STA don't have them, do they?) and there'll be white panels everywhere.
Re: STA 2239
I like it.. the simplified liveries of late are so boring.
Will the current refurbs of Scanias see this paint job??

Re: STA 2239
This thought just occurred to me - what would this livery look like with ads? Methinks it looks passable as a cleanskin, but with ads on?

Re: STA 2239
Transport NSW has stipulated certain places for ads, however its hard to gauge how it'll end up until one actually gets them! Also, who knows if those places will be adhered to in the future.

Re: STA 2239
Actually it takes me back to the days of Leyland Leopards,Leyland Worldmasters,AEC Regal VI,31 seat Frogs and the half cab D/D that were painted in blue & white. But with 2239 livery you could say a sky blue & white the blue on 2239 looks like the colour of the sky.It is nice to see a different livery on STA buses.
Previoulsy known as United Diesel 15

Re: STA 2239
As I said before Swift, if they used mandarin blue, it wouldn't be nearly so ugly.

Re: STA 2239
I can't see much difference in the light blue but I agree on the shade of dark blue they used for the bumpers. They look foul.
Perhaps silver would be an improvement.

SAW 2243 AT VOLGREN TODAY. ANOTHER ARTIC IN THIS LIVERY.
Re: STA 2239
Apart from the livery grasping at our patriotic heart-strings as New Southwelshmen and the above point as to why John Lee Corporate was adopted in the first place, the simple fact that there are already over 2000 buses out there already in the livery or something close to it is a crying shame. Not to mention that Busways and Veolia buses could be done with a single trip to the spraybooth.swtt wrote:So much for the John Lee livery which simplified painting of individual panels on the bus. I think that a certain French company was anticipating this by the number of these on rail yesterday (sorry about the overexposed pic)
Enjoy.
