Berry Double Deckers
Does anyone have any background to this 'business'. This may be the new home of one of the former BM Explorer Bus Volvo Olympians, but I can't find any information on them. There is a Facebook page and with the limited view access I could gain appear to have (or had) a couple of deckers, including an ex Sydney Atlantean and a former UK Atlantean. Perhaps a historical collection. Not sure if 'Berry' is the locality or the owners name.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !
Re: Berry Double Deckers
That Guy Gerry ? Someone, used to own Atlanteans 1029 & 1194,and a few english deckers, were mainly hired out for Weddings
Re: Berry Double Deckers
Somebody on this board a few years ago had a collection of British deckers at Tapitallee. From the Facebook page referred to above, I gather this business operates from an antique store in Queen St, Berry. Not sure if it's the same collection.

The good thing to come out of this is that we have added the above operator to https://www.busaustralia.com/links.php?state=nsw

It's a sad reflection on the state of this discussion board that no one would step in to provide the correct information! It's a tantalising thought that there might be a second Ben Ogle with enough interest to operate a Denning Denair and source three-digit m/o plates for a regional bus fleet, but the Ben Ogle of Berry Bus Service and Ben O of ATDB are one and the same.
Unfortunately I never met the owner of Berry Double Deckers, however a reliable source informs me he no longer owns any buses. His last deckers were sold off in 2019 including ex Lothian Atlantean 812 (EWS812D) to an enthusiast at Nowra.

Well I did try to quietly set it straight Ben, maybe I should have been more explicit. I can't recall the name of the bloke with the double decker collection at Tapitallee but thanks for clarifying what happened.Ben O wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:13 pm It's a sad reflection on the state of this discussion board that no one would step in to provide the correct information! Morning Fleet Lists, no problems at all. My comments were in good humour.
Tony, his name is Gary Carr. His former store at Berry is current under redevelopment.

Re: Berry Double Deckers
What I spotted (minus camera) just over a month ago was a Volvo Olympian still in all over red, as per BM Explorer Bus. On the front desto area (top and bottom) were shown two British towns which I've forgotten, and BERRY in large letters in the centre. On the rear it promoted weddings, winery tours and something else (again I've forgotten). I couldn't see the nearside or offside of the bus, and I haven't seen the vehicle since. I'm sure it's new ownership will eventually come to light.

Re: Berry Double Deckers
That Berry double decker imported a lot of preserved deckers, never last long and sold commercially.
A number of interesting well preserved vehicles are now a non runner. One ended up in Adelaide, one in Melbourne and disapppeared
