Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Busways 1232 has replaced a failed scania in kingswood on the 770 this morning.
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
More CDC buses have arrived to Region 6 Tempe, about 10 are from Hunter Valley Buses.
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
What are the numbers and type of these buses?
I wonder with Metro is now fully operational in the Hills District, whether more buses will be transferred out of CDC into other regions?

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Oddly enough just 5 minutes ago I spotted Hillsbus Foundry Roads m/o 6660 in Maitland with Hunter Valley Buses branding on it so it's a definite transfer but why exactly did they just get rid of some of the ex Stationlink Optimuses to Transfer other Optimuses over?Campbelltown busboy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 10:10 amAll of the CDC to region 6 transfers are ex Stationlink buses
Not sure if this is the only Foundry Road transfer but it's something none the less.

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
The transfer of buses between operators is already being discussed in the TA observation. Some of the comments there would also apply here. It may be a Transport for NSW decision to balance fleets.

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
^ The bus fleet numbers are in the 'to be delivered' section for Transit Systems on the Bus Australia Fleet Lists. These buses are required as the route 458 will be operating out of Region 6 at the end of this month and route work will be reassigned between the depots.

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Spotted two Irizar i6 coaches pass through Mt Victoria last week 9308 MO & 9309 MO.
9308 was a Scania (K310 ?) with School Bus & Trunkey Creek on its desto. Missed the other, assume Scania likewise.
All white and no identifiers. I assume new possibly on delivery.
Checked usual suspects on fleet lists, no record.
Edit: Sinclair Buses of Bathurst have the Trunkey Creek school runs, so I assume new deliveries for them.

Williamtown / Anna Bay area yesterday: I can't remember exactly where on Tomago / Cabbage Tree / Nelson Bay Road it was however, what I thought was an ex-Busways B10M. Rego XN-84KC. Service NSW showing as a 1993 B10M, VIN ending in 1256. Can't find it in any of the disposal lists though using either the VIN or the current rego

I looked up that vin and the only 1993 B10M that came up with this 1256 vin was 7078 MO in the Busabout Wagga historic fleet witch actually spent it last 4 and a half years of it's active revenue service life running around Campbelltown as seen here at Campbelltown station in August 2017

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Yesterday I observed m/O 8226 Merc with Gemilang body, sporting TSA Leichhardt accred, barreling East down the M4... presumably on its delivery run
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Cheers! now that you've guided me on the right path, it went to Shoal Bus - Bomaderry as 2395-MO. Last note says: Rego expired 1/4/19 and placed for sale on Gumtree.Campbelltown busboy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 8:12 pm I looked up that vin and the only 1993 B10M that came up with this 1256 vin was 7078 MO in the Busabout Wagga historic fleet witch actually spent it last 4 and a half years of it's active revenue service life running around Campbelltown as seen here at Campbelltown station in August 2017
They've painted over the green stripe so it now has two yellow stripes - hence my mistaken thought it was ex-Busways
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
I've been randomly checking on deployment of the electric buses in region 6 and I never see more than two to three out on service, more commonly two. Of those, I've never seen the Yutong on the road. This means there are typically two to three out of five out of service. You'd expect from a bus type that has a hallmark of reliability that all but maybe one spare would be on the road in peaks. Any observations from anybody else?
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Unless Leichhardt depot has 5 charging points, there will be a need to roster enough time for each to charge. The Yutong has been out and about in recent weeks. The various one-off Metrobus liveried Scanias are rarely to be seen though.

A dozen or so moved to State Transit for route 100, the remainder are confined to routes 320, and peak hour 438Xs, 440 Leichhardt - Central short workings and 470s.

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
I saw one on the 430 on Wednesday off peak.
Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
There are always quite a few moving around, even off peak. There's a couple on 440 at the moment.

Re: Private Bus Operations 2021
Don’t forget Transit Systems transferred about 10 of these ex STA B12BLEAs to region 3 to be used on the T80 witch is stil mainly run by the 2013 contract ready B7RLE CB80s witch went into service on day 1 of the current region 3 Transit Systems contract
Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
There is another small bunch of Transit Systems buses that have just been transferred to STA fleet yard at Leichhardt. Scania K310UB Volgren bodies buses in the 29## series formerly at Kingsgrove Depot.
The Volvo B7 buses at Tempe Depot are beginning to enter service, they are ex CDC Hillsbus Region 4 and Outer Region CDC Hunter Valley. This plus the Kingsgrove transfers to STA will allow for some Scania buses be transferred to Kingsgrove.
The remaining Scania Bustech bodied buses will most likely be transferred to STA once the electric buses begin to enter service at Transit Systems Region 6.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
There were four electric buses in service from Leichhardt today, all BYDs (full complement). Still never seen the Yutong and it's the one that has a charger to itself, so there goes the charger theory.
