Yes - I meant "frequent" route. Rapid is so 2013!In Transit wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 2:42 pm Only the B1 could be termed a Rapid route.
Frequent routes (every 10 minutes or better during the day and every 20 minutes or better early morning/late evening, consistently 7 days a week) currently include the B1, 100, 120, 144, 160X, 199, 333 and 500X.
The 610X doesn't meet this standard due to lower frequencies on weekends, although it does have very good frequencies across the week.
One of the unsung improvements of the new frequent routes has been the strong improvement in weekend frequencies, generally matching weekday off peak frequencies (a principle which has also finally been applied to a lot of other routes in those areas too).

Yes 'Rapid" was in the 2013 plan but seems to have died since then.

The new region 1 timetables (Busways) are not available yet - we will have to wait until they are. Hopefully tomorrow.Stonesourscotty wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 5:31 pm Can anyone provide the updated information for the 779 the website seems to lack either what the extension is or the extra trip details
Considering all the other changes that will take place that weekend with all regions returning to full term timetables, I am not surprised that not all have been done yet. For some regions they may simply stay with the July 2021 timetables but all will need changing for the trip finder.

Transdev NSW are recruiting bus drivers for Nightride bus services for Taren Point Depot, any potential information regarding this where Transdev has gained more Nightride routes as their current routes N30 and N40 operate out of South Granville Depot.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
The most likely would be the routes to Sutherland and Cronulla which are currently operated by State Transit but would make more sense to operate them from Taren Point. This could be part of the region 9 reorganisation.

Current Sydney Timetables.
The only two regions which have new timetables for 18 October are Hillsbus region 4 and Forest region 14 which also now have school timetables both dated 12 July and dated 18 October but no school holidays in between.
The Blue Mountains region has new timetables both route and school from 5 October.
One of the Hunter Valley Newcastle regions has timetables dated 25 July.
All other regions have timetables still dated 12 July with Interline and the three Transdev routes not showing any school routes.
So still no information on such routes as Busways route 779 which is listed as having changes from 18 October.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
No change since yesterday. No timetable uploads today in Transport Info with upload date still shown as 8 October in all timetables I looked at.
Today I used route 453 for Transdev region 10 and could not find a link in Transport Info So I tried the timetable for this route from the Transdev website where I found that Transdev like most other operators now links to Transport Info for their timetables and no longer to their own pdf timetables. And the link to route 453 did not work although the map link did work.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Xplorer. I Checked the map from the 25th which would be the first day of the new 779 and its the same for me
With the end of lockdown Glendenning and Mulgrave have returned to operating regular Penrith based services 847 was on 780 1121 was on the 776 there was also a white Man Bustech on the 775.
Penrith trainer 248 was parked in the bus station most of the day which I think is the last Penrith bus with the old busways decals applied and only high floor Nsw liveried bus with the old logos at Penrith.
775 and 770 seem to interwork now with a Mt druitt arrival on the long 775 becoming a Penrith bound 770
3 of the Scania Volgrens are parked up with the Custom Mercedes that aren't in use at the moment one is 1113 but 1114 and 1300 the other two car city liveried buses are in daily service the other Penrith bus that seems out of service at the moment is 1286 which I havnt seen since the first night of nrl finals

Transdev is a bit different to some of the other operators
https://www.transdevnsw.com.au/
https://www.transdevnsw.com.au/
And their school timetables for next week are not available yet.IMPORTANT INFO: Transdev is operating to a reduced timetable until 18 October 2021. We will return to a full timetable from this point onwards.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
The new timetable is now up, but it is showing some erroneous "Tuesday only" trips on the old path. There's some data errors somewhere. Please ignore those trips until it is refreshed again!

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
I was in Penrith bus station today and someone was muttering that busways ex 258 is now stored at a Cdc depot??
319 and a 32* are both back in service appears only two high floors are active at the moment at Penrith also saw the returning 1113 on a 785 the other day.
I note 236 is back on the fleetlist section but 248 is also still in at Penrith as Trainer think a third trainer also exists.

I think CDC is sponsoring in kind by performing maintenance, possibly drivers etc.

PBC Gemilang BYD D9RA m/o 8415 finally spotted for the first time on the 13th Oct (bumped into it again two days later). My guess for its late entry into service would be due to repairs following an accident during delivery as you can see the mismatching front panels. I must say, EVs really suit the shorter, hilly routes such as the 953, 954 (pictured) and 955.
m/o 8415 passing through the roundabout at the intersection of Hillcrest Ave and Laycock Rd, soon to complete its short 954 run on the 15th Oct:

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Busways Glendenning's 792 passed by Railway Square this morning displaying 'Driver under Instruction' with a few on board. Presumably a route 501 familiarisation journey for future region 7 drivers.

It may not be a Blacktown driver but they can only use Blacktown buses at the moment as region 7 buses would not be available to them.

Does anyone know who's going to be operating the T3 replacement buses tomorrow due to the strike? As in which operator? Maybe Shire Bus?
