From Tuesday 1 June, some regular and all school bus numbers and route names in Grafton and Yamba are changing to become part of a state-wide standardised program.

Is TV1048 still owned by CDC? It has a WSU AOA and runs shuttles to the campus at Parramatta CBD.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Yes it's part of the Wsu fleet at St Marys.
There's alot of Wsu liveried about 10 I think although atleast 2 buses seem to be off the road lately I'll check the tracker tomorrow to see what's missing. 1035/41/2 are the Kingswood Werrington regulars this past week

1121/30 and 1290 at Busways all carry the new Busways logos with atleast one of 1227-1234 also done.
1189 has white LEDs fitted front side and rear now didn't this used to have White dot matrix?

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Spotted this Mercedes Alan B Denning Vario at Mayfield (NSW) yesterday, tried doing a registration lookup of it's QLD plates but QLD Transport says Registration not found (Rego is 658ROG) so either these are very old plates or they have since expired. Just happened to come across it by chance yesterday so not sure how long it has been around here for.
Anyone possibly able to dig up anything on it? Sorry I couldn't get a front photo either, didn't want to draw attention when I was taking a photo of it and didn't really want to walk out on the road to get a photo but I think you get what an ABD Vario looks like anyway.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
I was going to say VN.
That ebay unit does look a little different, but that could just be a variation between the Acclaim and the base model.
It would have (previously) made getting a replacement tail light a cheap and easy task.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Port Stephens Coaches appears to be currently demonstrating a 2021 Volvo (?) Volgren Optimus of some sort, XN35ZQ is the registration, shows up on real time tracking as a Mercedes-Benz O405NH Custom Coaches Citaro.
Possibly a Volvo B5RLEH?
Sorry, only managed to snap a mobile phone photo as it was pulling out of the Interchange, was not prepared to see this.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Anyone know who the operator of XN35PE is? The bus in question is a 2006 Hino RK (possibly RK260) P&D and was spotted near Newcastle West Yesterday however I didn't grab the accreditation. I'm suspecting this is possibly former 2085AO from Warragul Bus Lines as the VIN both ends in 0077 and both buses are RK Hinos & P&D's and same year models.
Sadly didn't grab a picture but this bus is confirmed to be floating around Newcastle somewhere with a current unknown operator.

Presumably the buses that operate the shuttle from Kingswood Station. The Ponchos seem to be the most popular usage.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
One Poncho and Two Solo Sr I'll have a wander down later and try to Identify but I think it's 1035/42/43 based on Friday's allocation. With both a Cummins and Mercedes Solo there.
Did Optare ever export any Man solos or ev solos?
Does anyone know what service the Metrocity works?
I havnt rode a metrocity since about 2015 when Rotala borrowed a London spec one for services around Bolton/Wigan/St Helens.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Busways CC MAN 1202 has a nice throbbing engine note as it takes off reminding me of STA's no withdrawn Willoughby's MANs with it's VOITH. I wonder if the 18.320 engine is a development of the old D2566UH that the Willo SL202s had.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Looking at the Fleet Lists today I notice Busways Pacific have taken delivery of 20 Volvo B8R's with Custom Adventurer bodies this year.
Have found ABC magazines bus sales data over the same period as totally unreliable for Custom Denning sales.

Not all, both buses would be allocated to the respective operator's country operation.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Anyone whos ridden in them will probably know what I'm talking about, but the busways OC500le's, especially the CB80's are very sluggish from a standing start. I recently caught 1231 which is a CB80 OC500le, and it was absolutely rocketing off from a standstill. I'm not sure if this one is just an oddity or if they've been tweaked by the mechanics.
Re: Private Bus Observations 2021
Telford's have picked up some airport work with some of the buses recently transferred from Skybus carrying Qantas decals.
