It looks like, not an engine fire but the aircon pod on the roof(?).

Busways 1090 has Mulgrave depot accreditation has it returned from Penrith?

Quite a few high floors out in service these past few days including 269 which seems to be out daily.

With the contracting out of government run bus services to private operators, we'll soon have simply route bus observations.

Route 503 does not seem to show up on Trip Planner or real time apps, though other routes appear correctly. Maybe decided they didn't need to run it after all?

The shortage of drivers affected by COVID-19 appears to have spread to the Tempe depot as I witnessed a reduction in bus services on routes 476 and 477 today. The buses running on these routes today were not even up to a Sunday timetable.

Question for any of the Sydney Peeps,

Why would Baxter's No 18 (TV 5147) be operating out of Velbus t/a Glen Innes Bus Services? Sighted it on Church St (New England Highway) near McDonald's doing the Town 2 Run

On loan or sold and put straight out to work and will be repainted at the earliest convenience.

Wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

The Busways shift schedulers might of made the shifts a way where a Glendenning shift runs empty to Mount Druitt from the depot then it runs on runs like the 775 for the first part of the shift upto the scheduled drivers meal break then after the scheduled drivers meal break the shift might tell the driver to do runs in the Blacktown area for the second part of the shift

Since the timetable change a few months back, there's been a lot more glendenning buses on the 775/776, wheras before you might only get a couple services a day. Infact, basically all the St Marys-Mt Druitt short workings are being down by blacktown buses, while the full run to penrith is done by penrith buses.

What I'm asking is this allocated to Penrith or Glendenning as my records and this website say Penrith but the bus itself said allocated to Glendenning is it a recent transfer?

Baxter's Omnibus has been doing seatbelt retrofits for rural & regional operators. The Baxter's buses are loaned out while the vehicles are down at Girraween being retrofitted.

Will the Saturday timetable run for the duration of the lockdown or for a couple of weeks till most crew members are out of isolation?

It's difficult to predict anything at the moment.

While patronage is down it makes some sense anyway.

A few observations from the road at Fantastic Aussie Tours depot in Katoomba over the last week:
- one of the Volvo Olympians still in all red, with the desto area showing a couple of London destinations and 'Berry' in the centre in large letters.
Possible new home, unless there's a Berry in London ?
- an ex Cooma Coaches NCBC bodied vehicle (still in their accreditation & livery when sighted). Possibly ex TV 577 which I notice recently deregistered.
- two all white dual door Custom CB60 bodied vehicles (no rego or brand badge visible).

Could be new additions or just passing through.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !

A white semi-coach with Holroyd address on a Nowra Coaches school service in Nowra this afternoon. Went past too quick to identify but I think I've seen it also on train replacement services. A Hopkinsons bus maybe?

Possibly a Baxter's vehicle on loan to cover for a bus in Sydney for a seatbelt retfofit as mentioned on this thread on 20 August. Hopkinsons vehicles carry Kiama Coaches accreditation with Kiama as the suburb, was the case even before the Smithfield depot was closed.
