It is a 2009 unit according to the rego check so probably not a new registration. Expiring 21 December 2018.

TV 1116 should belong to Tournet Pty.Ltd.Tournet have been using a series of plates roughly between TV 1111 AND TV 1119 since the early 1990's.

That would probably explain a remake has been done from the original 1990's format.

Anyone know the story behind TV 8458 that also belongs to New England Coaches? (If needed I'll post a photo of the bus in question)

Going through some Rail replacement photos of buses I took back in June this year in Newcastle (last month) and came across a photo I took of TV 8458 that apparently belongs to New England Coaches. It's on a Coach Design body I suspect on a Mercedes-Benz Chassis . Fleet-lists doesn't have anything on File for TV 8458

Edit: I suspect if they haven't received a new Coach Design bus recently that all fingers point to TV 8122 (which is on the fleet list for NEC & is coach Design itself and the only CD bodied bus in their fleet) and that the new plate for it is now TV 8458.

New England Coaches only operate a single school contract from 7/11, which is Glen Innes-Backwater.1274 MO BCI is the regular bus there.
They need 2 coaches to operate their long distance route services to Port Mac and Toowoomba. They use various coaches on these according to the bookings received for each operating diagram. The rest of the fleet is for charter and some tour work.Their charter work has increased greatly in the last 3-5 years over a fair slice of the New England area as has the quality of their fleet.
As L608 points out they are an active bus dealer, with much buying and selling. That has allways been a feature of the Arandale family businesses over the years.

How did you come by all that info, especially on the cars.

Was it from a database or just visuals?

You can get these details from registration check on RMS website or Service NSW app. You just need a lot of time to go through all the blank ones regularly.

I enquired of the RMS the other week, as to what the TV plates replacement series would be.

I was advised that that information is not available to the public for 'security reasons'.

Hmm, okay, so evidently the new series will be issued as obscured number plates.
