Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
A few comments about different private operators
1. Busabout/Interlines finally fixed their network map for 850
2. Hillsbus decided to put everything as portrait instead of landscape for some pages, so now I have to twist my neck to view their timetable
3. busways western sydney STILL!!! has not put up new timetables
4. still going through other ones

For Transdev see http://www.transdevnsw.com.au/news.php?newsid=1020&g=29
And keep Busways out of this one as there is a separate thread to cover them.

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
There must be large teams of people working on the cartography etc etc -- to do all of the STA and Private routes.
The planning for this would've been of course under way for a long time.

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
I believe that iniitally it had been planned to change ALL timetables to the new format in October even those which are not changing but I believe the latter will now be done at a later date as the exercise was just too big.

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
On the Transdev NSW website there are timetables for several routes with minor changes that are still in the old format, and simply have "Revised 20 October 2013" on the cover. These are noteworthy in themselves as they have had the operator logos updated from Veolia to Transdev.Fleet Lists wrote:I believe that iniitally it had been planned to change ALL timetables to the new format in October even those which are not changing but I believe the latter will now be done at a later date as the exercise was just too big.

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
That would be the first Transit Systems timetable I have seen on 131500. The ones from them for route 802 and 820 (the only ones I have tried) are the normal separate timetables in the two directions. I have not seen one as yet for the T80. And no PDF's on their website as yet. There timetables seem to start on 14th October on 131500 with the Westbus/Hopkinsons ones still present for the previous weekXplorer wrote:Just had a look at the timetable of 800 on 131500, directions not separated, extremely confusing to read...

Finally, Consistent formatting and graphics across different operators.
I like the maps. Wished they added the individual bus stops.
Re Red Bus - There are far too many 'Explanation of definitions and symbols' in the Red Bus network. Suburb names are not listed next to the bus stop, but at least a lot of the errors from the previous timetable have been fixed up.

With the school holiday trip not operating via Erina High School. Makes sense.paulbrown3 wrote:Re red bus rte 44 8:15am weekday from Erina fair this service diverts via Erina high school before barralong rd in both school days and school holidays. Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
The List of Sydney Private Bus timetables in the AATTC website http://www.aattc.org.au/SYDNEY.htm has been updated to show which timetables are being obsoleted and which are new and where replacement timetables will be issued. All new timetables are being treated as website only pending them being seen in paper form. So any report of paper timetables being sighted would be appreciated. No information yet on new TSA timetables.
The other lists will be done in the next couple of days

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
Picked up new tt for port Stephens coaches rte's 130-135 at the transit graphics stand at the sydney bus show.
Also picked up new tt's for:
864
867
870-872
875
876
850
865-866
855-857
874
853-854
873
851-852
450
939 & 941
944
942
I was told my John Mikita (boss of transit graphics, company who done the new timetables) that he struggled with TfNSW to add the mention in the timetables who provides the bus services.
