Tried at 3 and were substantially cooler than the all aluminium bus stop ones.boxythingy wrote:Try sitting on one of the new seats exposed under direct sunlight today in Western Sydney at noon today.
Already a number scratched up with a sharp pointed implement - and much harder to paint than the old seats

I had a look at some seats at Penrith today, which are exposed directly to the sun. They were only warm to touch, while an adjacent light pole was quite hot.

Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
New T signage was installed at Kingswood station this morning, and there was a truck with a few T signs in stock nearby so they might have done a fair few stations today...
Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
By the looks of the new intercity map, it seems to be orange T's now for intercity as well as suburban lines, hence the orange platform signs at Broadmeadow and the like. Springwood may remain an original.

What's the point of differentiating between NSW Trainlink and Sydney Trains then... yet another backflip on focusing on regional customers on a minor point.

The TrainLink logo is ugly anyway. Bland and grey.
Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
Small T side mounted on Railway Pde side of Sydenham station. Nothing on the main entrance/ railway bridge itself

Town Hall station has 2 roundel signs at the entrance to the Galleries Victoria
Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
It's exactly the same as Sydney Trains, just the colour is different!mandonov wrote:The TrainLink logo is ugly anyway. Bland and grey.
An asset of NSW. All opinions/comments are strictly my own.

One of my biggest criticism to these T signs is that they don't lit at night.
How would customers suppose to see there's a train station in the dark?

Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
^ Aren't railway stations fairly well lit anyway? You can see them a mile off - especially with infrastructure like poles and wires. If anyone is going out late without planning ahead or knowing where the railway station is, then that's their fault.
Do you also expect every bus stop past to be internally illuminated? What a waste.

Cabramatta now has these signs:
For a station this large, this is the size of the T roundels at Cabramatta:

Edgecliff could certainly use a more visible sign.

Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
New? variants of trackwork posters again?
Wolli Creek: This one doesn't use a hop poster header at all, but is very streamlined and simple, reads top to bottom like a phone app.
Leumeah: Different sizes of writing used, arranged differently

T & L: Telephone and Lavatory.
That's what I think of. Especially the T is using the same colour as Telstra.

Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
This probably covers across threads. In addition to the refurbishment of the railway square transport shop, it seems they have removed the green ticket machines, and hence are not issuing generic myzone stock tickets. Bought my myzone weekly ticket there today and it was retail stock prepaid ticket.
Re: 'The Hop' Branding Rollout
Fair enough. It's time to start reducing the type of ticket stock you're printing before they get retired fully come September

Mount Kuring-gai and Berowra with T signs
I think illuminated bus stop signs would look great at night. Plinths would stand out743 wrote:
