Are you referring to just the Metro, or are there changes to timetables on other services? I saw some complaints on Reddit about crowding at Town Hall platforms.
They were referring to bus services and presumably other modes as well.

20 minutes is a strange frequency to pick, when pretty much everything that connects with it runs every 15 or 30.

I also heard comments on the radio about medical staff (for example) being caught out when trying to travel to work early in the morning, as Sunday timetables on many bus routes start much later than on weekdays, particularly in the 'burbs.

Where did you hear that they are going to "scrap that idea"?

It mentioned they are no longer simply running to a Sunday timetable like originally planned. They are altering that plan.

Ah, interesting. There doesn't seem to be any details out yet.

Can confirm at least a few STA routes have already resumed, e.g. route 265 has (at least partially) resumed even though it doesn't run on Sundays.

A cursory check of AnyTrip shows that STA school specials including 612e, 793n and 646w also ran today.

Unfortunately there have been very few details at all since this all started to emerge on Sunday night - vague references to fewer services, occasional references to Sunday timetables and a generally confused and lacklustre communication. Business as usual really.

I saw what looked like a couple of STA school buses in the Carlingford / Beecroft area yesterday afternoon.

State Transit are operating all their school services as normal by the looks of things. I have also noted a significant number of routes where extra trips have been added over the past few days. These routes include (but certainly might not be limited to) - B1, 265, 309, 309X, 324, 352, 400, 440, 600, 607X, 610X, 611, 664 and 665
