Least favourite suburb in Australia

Post by scott »

What is your least favourite suburb?

Mine is Dandenong, full of tattoo covered bogans, smokers, beggars and the place stinks, and it is so spread out it takes me ages to get around on foot, the best place I have found to be in Dandenong, is aboard a bus back to my home in Wantirna South or to Knox City.

It might be easier to list the best suburbs as my list of least favourite would be rather long.

But anyhow my top least favourite suburbs in Perth are in no particular order...

Mirrabooka
Lockridge
Stratton
Clarkson
Ellenbrook
Mullaloo
Joondalup
Balga
Armadale
Cannington
Beckenham
Rockingham
Warnbro

And in Bunbury,

I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.

Frankston and Sunbury are terrible. Rowville, Narre Warren, Melton, Eltham and Laverton are slightly less terrible.

I generally don't mind Dandenong, Broadmeadows and Sunshine, however.

What's wrong with Rochedale, and why didn't you include Inala?

Well sorry. Just because I say Armadale is better than you think, dosen't mean I don't go out of Armadale. I've been through out Perth, Bunbury and Victoria and I find Armadale one of the best places to be in.

Blacktown in Sydney. The only place on a bus I've physically feared for my personal safety. Didn't think much of the sights on a trip from Liverpool to Campbelltown on an Interline Bus either. Other than myself, another board member I was with and the driver the other occupants of the bus seemed less human and more like the missing link in the theory of evolution. Having said that when I got to Campbelltown I was suprised as to how nice a place it was-I wouldn't say it was the best part of Sydney but it sure as hell wasn't as bad as the impression I got from everywhere.

Catching a Hopkinsons bus from Parramatta to Liverpool and looking at the driveways and surrounding traffic towards Liverpool showed me why people scoff and call me a bogan when I say I drive a VS Commodore on my P's. Appointing the drivers of those cars as bus drivers would result in every bus becoming low floor overnight...

Many of the places listed in Sydney and Brisbane at least I've been to and while they aren't the best areas they didn't strike me as the worst areas either.
