What doesn't give you the S&#T's, or make you Happy?

That was the most disappointingly media-upbeat storm I've seen in a while. Then again, I don't live south of Rockingham, so I missed the worst of it. Been a pretty bad few days for those guys!

I was quite stunned to see a C17 flying low overhead today.
I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.

Re: What doesn't give you the S&#T's, or make you Happy?
LOL thats just shocking. Would it even be legal.
Re: What doesn't give you the S&#T's, or make you Happy?
My guess is that the rear tail light garnish is from a VP Commodore. I suspect there are also some VG/VP Ute components used as well.
If an engineer will sign off on it, it's legal. Having said that, the roof of these cars is an integral part of the structure of the car. I've been told that even installing a sunroof can weaken the frame sufficiently that on very rough roads the chassis of the car will suffer increased strain and the car can physically break apart within a moderate time-50 to 100,000 km. I wouldn't want to sign off on this thing's structural rigidity.

I've been out of this section of the board for a while. (Mainly the fact I really don't care bus enthusiasts' environmental or political opinions.)
People don't seem to QUITE grasp this topic, and seem to use it as analogous to "What makes you happy."
It's really a life observations, or what's on your chest topic. For instance:
Only yesterday did I find the control on my camera that changes the aperture during video recording. I felt like a right dope.

Found this on another forum:

Must be hearing things, Clive Palmer criticising Campbell Newman from Queensland's LNP???
He really got stuck into him too. He doesn't believe that he will be premier by the end of December.

Either I'm hearing things, or I need hearing aids. Clive Palmer resigned from the Qld LNP??

Typically, not hearing things is a sign that you need to get hearing aids...

I rented Red Dog and never got around to (or the inclination) to watch it and returned it late fees and all!

Nope, your ears are fine. He has resigned from the LNP, ironically having recently been made a life member. There are whisperings about Campbell Newman from unhappy backbenchers.Newcastle Flyer wrote:Either I'm hearing things, or I need hearing aids. Clive Palmer resigned from the Qld LNP??

Channel 7's Olympic Coverage. Not as bad as Channel 9 telecast back in London 2012.
The Seven Network will telecast Pyeongchang 2018 as well as Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
I'm thinking, I'd rather have Foxtel on Olympics

Me and two of my friends still feature as a cover photo on our Primary School's website (we left 3 years ago now)
Due to NBN works our Landline stopped working. Not that we really use it.

That explains the buses you follow. Tell me, does someone born in 2000, have any concept of the styles of past decades like the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, or do you only see that as last century?Lt. Commander Data wrote:2 things:

I know a guy born in about 2001 and is a fan of the original Planet of the Apes from 1968 and loves classic movies from the 1970s!

Re: What doesn't give you the S&#T's, or make you Happy?
Don't get me wrong - I love high-floor buses. But, haven't had much experience with them, so the Volgren CR224L becomes my favourite. Plus the two depots that I am served by have those or a CB80...
Given the choice, I would go on a nice O-Bahn O305 over a CR224L.
I actually can't stand most music from this century, 70s and 80s Rock is my forte.
I orefer the original Italian Job to the remake, but Sand Andreas to Earthquake. A nice old Merc car over one of the new ones, but a iPhone over a landline.
So really it depends on what it is. And, IMO 2000 was part of the 20th century. I would love to be about 10 year older than I am, just becuase I missed so much good stuff when.
