"Deluxe" usually indicated upmarket models. Surprising they did this, as the base models usually have the lowest profit margins.

Actually its a 1956 Chevrolet Task Force pickup truck (Yank term) Ute (Aussie) with either a 235 cu 3.9litre inline 6 or with either a 265 cu 4.3litre V8 or 283cu 4.6litre V8 these were coupled to either a 3 or 4 speed manual gearbox or fitted with a Hydramatic. This one in the picture would of been re-engined.

Seen at an auction place in Box Hill today was a white P76, unregistered so could not work out the year, but it looked like it was in good nick.

Hi Beford-29
The USMC hummers and trucks I have seen so far all have USMC plates on them. which probably means they are not registered here in Australia at all.
The Federal government will have done some sort of deal with the NT Government to allow the USMC vechicle to drive on the NT roads.

Spotted today was a 1940s Bentley (complete with "semaphore" indicators), with the personalised number-plate NWO[three digits]. Hmmm...

Morris J Series van spotted on Johnson Street, Annandale. It lives locally to me, as I see it around pretty often. Also saw a white MG Magnette parked in Summer Hill. It was in a sorry state, sitting out the back of a workshop. Thankfully, it had a cover over it, and was parked under an awning, so it had some protection.
