That B10BLE only stated almost!

Seen quite often (at least 99.99%) cyclists go through red lights, stop signs, BUT if a motorist was to run them down because these pests didn't give way when required, who would get in trouble, the motorist or the cyclist?

CYCLISTS have rights and they have the right to ride on the road to the side and if you hit one or yell at one and they are in the right then you could be done by the cops not the cyclists. Lets just hope you dont hit one but if The Phonj did and got jail time I would not miss him on this board.

Cyclists have rights, but on the same token they are bound by the same road laws as car drivers, and when they don't obey those laws, it gets bloody annoying.

Cyclists demanding the same consideration on the road as a car yet failing to bind themselves by the same laws.

OK folks; I acknowledge that cyclists have rights on the road. For those of you who don't already know; I drive buses in Adelaide. I am the driver who will sit behind a cyclist; give them plenty of room when overtaking and generally look out for them. Picture this however:

A road - divided carriageway, speed limit 60 km/h. Uncontrolled 'T' intersection with a residential side street. A pedestrian refuge in the island is on the approach side of this intersection, but not actually at the intersection - maybe 20 metres prior to the actual intersection.

A cyclist has come from the pedestrian refuge, entered the road and is crossing the road - not in a straight line but in a zig-zag manner. I am approaching in the bus I was driving; at 60 km/h and see the cyclist enter the roadway. I sound my warning device and commence slowing down, as a precautionary measure to see what the cyclist does. The cyclist ignores my warning and continues to ride across the road and directly into the path of my vehicle. I brake with all available braking power and am able to reduce my speed so that when I inevitably do hit the cyclist; I would estimate that I was travelling at 10 km/h. The cyclist and bicycle hit the floor - thankfully a helmet was being worn. However; before I know it, the cyclist has picked themselves and the bicycle up and are walking down the side street, not even having stopped to exchange details.

Thankfully I was empty, so didn't have to worry about any passengers having injured themselves with the sharp braking.

Cyclists indeed Mr. Phonj!

I remember coming around a blind corner on Victor Harbor road (which is 100km/h) in an unladen truck and having to lock up the brakes because a cyclist thought it perfectly safe to be cycling along in the middle of the road in such a place.

Had I been carrying my usual full load, things could have turned out very differently indeed!

Um no Benjamin (I think) Driver, Sydney did not have the largest tram network in the world.

It was the largest tram network in Australia (not the world - hope you journalists are looking, and have a correction/editors note on that page!), and the second largest in the Commonwealth, after London, and ONE of the largest tram networks in the world.

You promise not to laugh? Must have seen the joke of the 20th/21st Century again. News Limited along with it's so called Daily Telegraph claiming that the Daily Telegraph is committed to get this "fair & accurate reporting"! Since when?

I think LA, with 1100 miles (2200 kms) would be 2nd.

That f*cking thing. The whole thing is a stupid money-making idea that's going to achieve nothing, except pissing me off and destroying my beloved city with thousands of f*cking red posters.

I will be tearing down every single poster I see for this.

I was talking about the old tramways, not the present tramways such as LA's.

My bus never turning up today. Seriously, it just disappeared.

Also, people who don't know how to queue up. Especially waiting for a bus. Uni students know how to stand in a queue. Adults just push in and congregate at the front of the bus stop. Well I'm an adult, I might just do it too.

My room key is some kind of weird BiLock key. We used them at Target and they had a nasty habit of cracking or bending along the key part of the key, and eventually breaking.

My room key is now doing this and as a result doesn't like going into the lock -_____-

Here's hoping that the college won't charge me $60 to replace it and will instead take pity on me because I haven't lost it nor intentionally damaged it.

I'll only get rid of them if they're somewhere they should'n't be - anywhere near a bus/busway, on top of something, on the ground etc. If it's just calmly taped to a pole, that's not so bad.

iOS.

I'm finally getting tired of it.
I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.

If it wasn't for the enviro-NUTS, Australia would be able to build appropriate dams to hold all this water, and if it wasn't for them, less flooding of towns/cities, and more houses/businesses saved.

And we still have the Jones-Hadley-Laws-Mitchell(?)-like extreme right wing (most paid up Liberals) saying that Moore wants to ban ALL vehicles from Sydney's CBD. I also don't believe that she really said that car parks should be "converted" into shower rooms.

To those passengers (especially those of Asian background or are from Asia), (SHOUTS) WAIT TILL PASSENGER GET OFF, BEFORE YOU MOB RUSH ON TO BUSES & TRAINS (OH & TRAMS)!

Discovering that a new set of blades for my razor will cost either $75 from Shaver Shop, or $35 from Amazon US.

A new Philips razor that will do everything I do with my current razor will cost $30 from Shaver Shop. It seems that razors are becoming the new printer.

Discovering that not only is this weekend a long weekend, everyone seems to be going home for it.

I therefore suspect that the college will be significantly more empty this weekend. Which is both good and bad. More food but less people to talk to and etc.
