New Buses in Transit on Suva Fiji Wharf today

Post by ptlivestock »

Noted on the Suva Fiji Wharf today by Ricky Pal possibly up to two new left hand drive buses in blue livery. Photo below.

They are not for Fiji and thus almost certainly for New Caledonia being left hand drive and French territory. The next nearest LHD country is American Samoa and then beyond that French Polynesia.

Can anyone recognise the body type

Regards
Pete Trevor

Peter looking at what I found this bus is a Hyundai Super Aero City bus and I`d say it be Hyundai own bodywork.

Thanks for that Chris

Just been looking at Wikipedia and its seems there is a possibility this is a second hand bus. That opens a can of worms. A number of Hyundai were imported second hand into Samoa around 2004-6 and several are still in service converted to right hand drive. I'd better keep an eye open here in case

Through i'm a fan of one of these Korean-made buses but that bus in the picture is an Hyundai Unicity bus.A variant of the New Super Aero City F/L with coach bus elements.Manufactured since late 2011.Anyway,what is it doing there?
