Thinking about how many transport groups have their depots on the M7 to transfer freight from rigid trucks to B doubles and vice versa I was worried that they would not want to move to a communal maglev siding on the outskirts and then I remembered that my brother used to say “you do not have to be perfect, just a bit better than the next guy” and with Amazon starting to even buy planes to move time sensitive freight I think they would move so they can deliver 7 am.

I did read a comment that the lack of towns between Parrahub, Canberra, Albury and Melbourne is a problem with proven 700km/h maglev but I say that is why we can have it when America cannot because you only want to stop every 200 km

Saw on TV last night how hard it is for single older women with no super and perhaps some could just rent a room for $100/week in the Parrahub units that could help the owner as well as being company for some.

They would be no trouble and be right amongst all services and transport.

My son in law said if my cable stayed tower crane was any good how come nobody thought of it already and after much thought I concluded it was because nobody had built a Parrahub building anywhere yet so there was no need to design a crane to lift a fully furnished prefabricated unit into place every couple of hours. https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ ... ower-crane

Just watching the Dish where Kennedy is shown committing America to putting a man on the moon in ten years and it made me think SCOMO should commit the Japanese maglev Sydney/Melbourne before 2030.

Second free face has been used in blasting for many years and the Chinese are looking at ways it can be used in TBM to allow much faster/cheaper drives and as Josh said with the 2021 budget we need to get universities working closer to industry and another guy said we need to increase our university standing rather than just using students as cheap labour.

Evidently Sydney does not have sufficient homecare providers to look after old people in their stand alone home.
As my wife and daughter spent half the time in the car doing it, I suggest if Parrahub is built not only do you need less homecare providers but less doctors. http://www.parrahub.org.au/

This is a good statement from Lok Home and I would like to add that you need to be doing to learn.

Feedback from: Lok Home, President, The Robbins Company, from the company website blog
“I was inspired to write for the company blog following announcement that Elon Musk is entering our business—the tunnel boring business.  It is great to see people with a vision of an improved world enter our industry. I agree with Musk that the advance rate of tunnels can be significantly improved if development money comes into the industry. Development money in tunnelling, however, is at best minimal and is more often essentially non-existent. Nearly all tunnels are heavily specified to avoid risk taking by owners (therefore discouraging new development). Nearly all tunnels go to the lowest bidder and low bidders try to buy the TBMs at the lowest price; a further discouragement of development. The industry has therefore been slow to improve advance rates, but with Musk bringing the issue into the spotlight, perhaps things will change.”

Still the most popular.

American rail was originally designed as much for freight as people and perhaps they may leapfrog the troublesome steel rail and use Japanese maglev country wide with freight in containers faster and cheaper overnight instead of fixing roads and driverless trucks.

Perhaps Parrahub/Canberra Japanese maglev may make Western Sydney Airport a white elephant.

Assuming the Japanese maglev carries 1,000 passengers five times a day each way Parrahub/Canberra totalling 10,000 @ $30= $300,000/day equals $100,000,000 per year or 0.5% return on the $20b to build it however when it is extended to Melbourne even just two overnight container trains of 20 containers at $2,000 each between 1am and 3am would add another $30,000,000 per year.

I was worried that the Japanese guideway would be too narrow for containers but here https://scmaglev.jr-central-global.com/faq/ it says all cars are 9.5 feet wide when containers are only 8 foot wide.

The Federal government wants people over 60 to downsize and put the difference into super but old people want to stay near the city with good medical and transport with no maintenance.
It has just been reduced from 65 to 60 as there are few takers. https://www.realestate.com.au/news/what ... ty-market/
Actually I think lonely old people would rather upgrade to a Parrahub maintenance free, strata free and land tax free unit.

As an older person, I would say Thank You very Much BUT NO Go. Far too many people crowded together. I live in a retirement village with about 200 people and that is enough.
Parrahuh is certainly not the great answer to everything which you would like to make out.

I had not thought of that where the people are freindly and transport and medical is available.

What if they want to live in another suburb or area other than Harris Park?

Perhaps I should have said would as the Japanese maglev in a single tunnel is maintenance free.

I agree most people would not want to move far from where they are living now thus this link may be helpful. https://astrolabegroup.com.au/where-are ... in-sydney/

At present I am trying to draw a much faster TBM but thinking (as you do in the shower) I feel the limiting factor would be the muck removal so assuming a 1m wide conveyor at walking speed takes 500 tonnes per hour and there is 100 tonnes per metre equals 5 m/h or 120m per day.

I know Terratec tried it 30 years ago and the Chinese are trying now but because we are basically using 70 year old technology that was discovered by accident when he just put the discs between the drag picks to remove the muck there has to be a cheaper way.

Just a rough drawing in case anyone else sees merit in it as I am too old and broke to do it on my own.
