Post by Campbelltown busboy »

I was googling autonomous buses and I came across this entry from the Volvobuses website about the worlds first full sized autonomous bus

What a nicely quarantined environment. Wait till it gets out in the street where pedestrians and drivers work out that they can get priority over it simply by passing in front of it. Then it'll be spending all its time stuck in one spot.

I saw a video on driverless semitrailers in America and while this would be good for drivers to sleep between cities, some drivers may feel threatened by loss of jobs and may do the same Tony.

The Singapore one is intended to be trialed on public roads in its second phase, though no timeline has been stated AFAIK.

may have sensors but still plenty of problems. The autonomous buses on trial in Adelaide can verify this. Mexican standoff with a crow, cyclists not keeping clear of the bus, cutting corners and onto lawn in Glenelg, failing to turn into bus bay at Tonsley Innovation Centre Open Day with panel damage
