Bus Australia website

Post by Fleet Lists »

Over the past four years or so this website has been somewhat neglected with no changes made to the various operators lists.
I am now in the process of correcting this.
The New South Wales list is now as up to date as possible - the only question is Hannafords Tamworth which still seems to exist but I can no longer find their website.
Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. The obvious changes have been made - will go through the lists to check others and make changes where new information found or delete operators if I can no longer find any information on them.
Other locations - still to be done.
Bus body builders - have made obvious changes - will progressively look at others.
Enthousiasts list - have a made a number of changes - deleted quite a few where the links no longer work but more still to be checked. Found one interesting site which has been added Australian Showbus http://www.showbus.co.uk/australia/index.html

When the software was written for The various operators list all URL's had the http prefix which cleverly was added by the software. But now most have the https prefix which could not be used in the lists. While most redirect from http to https such URLs are no problem but we are getting to the stage whre a number no longer redirect as new websites have been created. The software has been rewritten do that bot http and https can be used. But we have encountered a problem where all links for some reason are prefixed with busaustralia hence now not are working. This is being investigated.

Fixed - now URL without a http or https will have http added as prefix while either a http and https prefix can be added to the operator definition at any time. So changes will progressively be made over time.
