Re: Gawler Rail Line shutdown

Seems suss that kanga has dressed up their runs as K Rail. Maybe they are hoping one of the new bus operators or train operator will flop

Re: January 2021 timetable changes

A tinkering of bus routes in northern Adelaide could be considered.
For example:

228 divert to Lyell McEwin Hospital

Re: Flinders Line news

I am really shocked at the location of "Flinders Station", or whatever they are calling it. It just seems to be in the middle of nowhere with a fair walk to the majority of the Universities buildings, and a bit of a walk to the Hospital. Where else could it of gone without costing an arm ...

Re: O-Bahn extension ruled out

I love holding people up getting off the bus with all door loading! Most pax barge on without letting people off. I stand in the middle of the door, look threatening and give time for people to get out of their seats and off the bus! They're supposed to be out of their seats and waiting to exit whe...

Re: O-Bahn extension ruled out

Existing services could be improved by removing the 3 minute loading time at TTP that seems to be present on all services outside of peak, even late at night. It doesn't always take that long for 10 able-bodied pax to step onto a low floor bus. That extra minute or two loading time is the differenc...

There is full line closure in summer school holidays too

I imagine some buses will need to be used for train substitute services on the Harbor and Grange Lines and possibly all lines when wires are put up on the rest of Adelaide Yard

Re: 230, 232 and 232R route and timetable change

From an outsiders view, I think it would make sense for a new route entirely instead of making the 230/232 situation more complex than necessary. 230/232 to remain the same north of Arndale. Then run direct via Torrens Road to the city (decreasing travel time for people who live further out) 231/wh...

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations

Last week I went on a few buses in first time in ages whilst waiting for my car to be serviced. The driver on the 502 was braking too late. The MAN bus on H30 felt like its tyres were really really inflated. Then rode a A City train to Clovelly, swaying alot especially between Mile End and Goodwood....

One I've thought of this morning. Now that Torrens run both 228 and J1 if 228 was to deviate via the Lyell McEwin and times adjusted they'll have a Go Zone beteeen Elizabeth East and Salisbury Heights

The 565 route already had every second service cut to allow the creation of the 566. There generally are people who use the nlw hourly (or 2 hourly on Saturday) 565 service given it has a guaranteed connection with the 560 to/from TTP. Also alot of people in Montague Farm (Henderson Ave) seem to go...
