Re: New guy in town

Me? I'm a mechanic and have been for all of my working life. I spent my first 12 and 3/4 years in the bus and coach industry and yes I did enjoy it and have a lot of fond memories of both vehicles and people. I moved on though in search of higher paypackets and went into trucks for a while and event...

Re: 500 New Speed Cameras: For Safety or Revenue?

Here we go again. If nobody speeds then nobody gets fined, it's as simple as that. In this day and age though, everyone is always in what seems to be a hurry and therein lies the problem. "Oh but I didn't see the camera signs" or whatever excuse they can think of, if people and society too...

Re: landseer heating

To continue on from CCCC. Has it got Coachair/Konvecta air conditioning? There will be an auxiliary water pump in the engine bay, mounted on one of the wall or floor panels. Follow the hoses and you'll see where the supply from the engine cooling system is and that will lead you to any taps. If they...

Re: Express coaches various

Great photos once again Pete, Volgren Qld made at least 4 variations that i remember. Ummm, i don't think "802" would have been converted to rear engine. The radiator is just in front of the pusher axle and the rear bin is huge although a long way from the front door. I doubt that Volgren...

Dont forget Forest is exempt from TfNSW livery at this stage! Can I ask why this is the case? Because they fought it tooth and nail. Good on them for doing that too, they are are very well presented fleet and have been for so long. Have been for their entire life I think, not like others that are a...

Re: Once upon a time...... some mixed Custom Coaches Part 1

The CAG concept was good but the teething problems were a nightmare at times! Computer aided gearshifting, the controls had an "A" or "M" position for driving forward as well as "N" and "R" too. There was also a small toggle lever which was used to shift the g...

Re: Ex Ventrua Volvo meets Scaina cousin at Interline

How long would they be planning on keeping it? It's not exactly new as we know and it's most likely a Mark 3 B10M by the look of it which would have anywhere between 12 to 15 years on it so how long could they keep it for before the average fleet age would be compromised? I know that the average age...

The Bullett on the back is not the early White Expeditor, its the KW and still gets an airing, it was recorded for The Guiness Book of Records at Bundaberg Airport as being the fastest diesel truck. See the link here to Bandag http://www.bandag.com.au/thebandagbullet.aspx I saw it at Eastern Creek ...

Two of these Inter Capital single axle coaches were purchased by Sunliner and based at the Boomerang Day Tours arm of the business at their Wynnum Manly depot in Brisbane. I drove one of these to transport the Brisbane Broncos (Alf Langer, Wally Lewis, Wayne Bennett and co) to a invitational at Gym...

Well I can't tell at this point who used to own the Nationals but I do know who owned the Silver Eagle when it was new! Nice to see so many of the Nationals in one spot though, even though some look like they've been retired.

Loving that unit from Bay Bus and Coach right now, I'm trying to work out if it has Tourmaster windscreens as well because it looks like a CCMC body. It really looks like it.

Re: NEED INFO ON THIS RFW COACH

Tell you what, it's a rather high deck body that CCMC put on it. I've never seen one in that body shape so high personally. Anyone know if that's because of the chassis or just an operator requirement?

I would have loved to have been involved with her in her heyday too!
