Hi Viking, I was told that the coach in the Melbourne cup accident was Loaders and Bono got that one? Batterhans in my RFW records was a ccmc body not Denning. I think that the Thomas K113 Scania is an ex Casino 99 then Challenge Travel Sydney after its rebuild after a major accident about 1998 /99?

Hi all, Just looking at some photos and came accross a picture of Batterhams - Antelope Tours TV588 / CCMC - RFW chassis # 046 then seen a photo of Red & Whites from Eric Walsh collection of 712 OOS stating that it was a Hino RC320 with GM CCMC in Oct 1988. To me they look the same coach? Can so...

flick switch , maybe a dry road / slippy road valve or a tag axle drop switch as in that time tag drop were illegal and you hide the switches in odd places & not all were electric

I remember doing that at R.F.W. many moons ago building and then driving around Chester Hill / South Granville testing with people hanging on to the chassis to check that all things were running right after we built it.

Colour scheme looked familar only the name is in a different place Chester Foleys TV074 in 1986. The only one in this scheme as Newmans NZ brought us out (1987) and this coach was the first into Newman's colours

Train Power lines at rail crossing have a min height of 5.2 metres on main roads. Normal power lines / phone lines minimum height 5.00m (Trees as well???) Oversize truck permits is max height of 5.00 metres which gives us a clearence of 200mm (8") on rail crossings. That is why we have OD route...

Thats true Boronia - only GM letters but some had small RFW lettering 1& 1/2 " high and big GM letters aswell
