Re: Bus Vic Website
The web designer should of approached the membership of this board for some suitable photos, if they did just that then there will be no shortage of images they could of used. The problem with that, is then they end up with too many photos. Every enthusiast and their dog thinks they take a good sho...

Re: Bus Vic Website
Correct. It's a Toronto livery bus. Which for those that don't know is not a Vic company either. If BusVic struggle with photos I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get some from either operator or enthusiast.Fleet Lists wrote:The smaller photo is certainly not Punchbowl.

Re: [Scoop] Australia Wide Coaches TV.6817 "Scania K480EB"
Looks nice.
But I must say the Coach Designs look much smarter. This Irizar is dating very quickly and just something about it looks cheaply done. It's ashame the prices are so much cheaper than the Aussie stuff, but I suppose you get what you pay for.
To Andrew, the 100 is the Scania 100 year badge.

All these photos, mmmm theres something missing. Ahh thats what, every single window to be scratched up by idiots!
Looks great, lets hope Yarra Trams actually put a splash of colour on them though. Although i can feel just a logo slapped on and nothing else.

Re: Bribie Island Coaches on the move...
Suspect it may be a couple of the shorter NCBC Scanias & maybe the O500RFx2 Coach Design. All previously V/Line coaches. The Irizar is not a V/Line coach. I heard that the coaches will mostly be 3 alxe :? If that be the case, then probably will end up being some of the older coaches. There is an AB...

One thing you can be assured when purchasing a vehicle from Kangaroo Bus Lines. Your getting a immaculatly kept vehicle. Kangaroo always go that one step further to make the vehicles look good inside & out, no matter what the age.

Re: Buses reversing
It is Southern Coast Transit policy that a bus must not be reversed without a person guiding them. IIRC It is instant dismissal if a driver is caught. The only time a bus should be reversed imho is in depots where stow roads are used, as it is required when a bus is a non starter half way down a ro...

Re: The Sunbus Strike thread.
Who actually owns the vehicles at sunbus? Wasn't it rumored once apon a time when translink came on they had the ability to move vehicles as they wished to other operators? It's all a sad situation but sunbus are appearing a bit selfish and would rather sue than actually work out the major problems ...

Re: Grenda selling
As Mercedes has said. Why doesnt everyone just stop speculating and just watch what happens. Take the wait and see approach, speculating on something out of your control is a move which has landed so many enthusiasts a bad name. Silly comments asking how much the company is interested in really does...

I never had a go at you or criticized, I just asked since when? And making sure it's not ATE your talking about. Mercedes provided the answer quite politely. Unlike yourself. Some people take there know it all attitude a bit too far.

Re: Grenda selling
That is significantly softer worded than the notice that was shown to staff. Also of note is that Martyrs Buslines is apparently for sale, Grenda's have a 51% stake in Martyrs with the other 49% belonging to the Mountjoy family (for now). Since when did Grenda own any of Martyrs? Grenda owned 51% o...

I hear that the DOT stuffed up and didn't include the need for a toilet in the Gippsland contracts. Dineen is supposed to have won by using cheaper non-toilet equipped coaches. Dineen does have new proper toilet equipped coaches coming for this run. Scania Irizars i believe. However due to the late...

Re: Huntingdale to Monash Uni Clayton shuttle
Yes, I heard that as well - and while that might be an improvement in terms of spacing, that's probably not going to be a good long term solution because as you said, it results in other buses departing first (inconsistent customer message) and it leads to the frequency decreasing. The bus company ...

If students dont return till the following week (as revenue posted), does this mean on this monday it runs at its reduced holiday rate or is it at its high frequency from Monday?
