Re: Rail & Private Operator Observations May 2013

A couple of Surfside buses heading inbound on Captain Cook Bridge tonight, with 'Charter' on desto. Any ideas?

Oh ok.

G1336 on a school charter to the Logan Hyperdome ttoday. Spoke to the driver and he was clearly out of his depth being so far down UN Logan. Didn't see which school, but it was a maroon polo shirt.

Will update here as soon as I see them. I'll be on the look out next week.

Any idea of regos/fleet numbers? Classic VST or new one?

Were they BT or TBS/KBL? Only BT will display the numbers.

Re: SEQ bus network review

If they know there's a problem, why don't they do anything about it? All they've done is add more services (Maroon CityGlider?!?)

I don't think BCC thinks there is a problem at the Cultural Centre.

Emerson is too busy on his Segway to point it out to them.

Re: SEQ bus network review

So there is a horrible overgrown garden. TransLink wanted to remove it all and start again. BCC instead are clipping a few twigs and saying "good as new!".

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations April 2013

This is off topic (feel free to move), but I heard from a driver (I know it's can't be considered 100% truth, but I thought I'd say it anyway), that with TransLink's proposed changes all of PRTs urban routes would be handed over to LCBS, and they'd only have school runs left. Apparently this is due ...

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations April 2013

I thought that SWT were still working. Any Willawong bus can be put onto any Willawong route. They're mainly used on 111s and weekend 169s (when Sherwood tags don't go out), but they can be frequently used on any W route. So yes, it is normal for W1623 to operate a 110. However, I presume you mean a...

One of Veolia's Express coaches was on a 282 this afternoon.

FAQ for Brisbane/QLD section

Seeing as though everyone hates people asking the same questions over and over, does anyone think a stickied FAQ could work? Put it above the observation threads, and have common questions that are always asked there, eg. "Why does R do this T run?" "Why are S/W always sitting in G depot?" "Why are ...

Scania G653 was sitting in layover with blue CityGlider desto up the other day. Only notable 'cause it's the first time I've ever seen a blue CG desto on a non-blue CG bus. Sorry about crap photo; all I had on me was my phone at the time. http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/zz174/my_best_friend_has_l...

Re: Brisbane Transport Desto Discussion

Veolia and Park Ridge have them on the right - it's just LCBS, Sunbus, Hornibrook and possibly one other that have them on the rather annoying and very hard to read left side. Worst place for it is probably Buranda. If nobody hails the bus I'm on, it'll drive straight past. But most of the time peop...
