Re: Private Operator Observations - December 2012
Mt druitt interchange seems to have issues with drivers hitting buses when leaving the layover area, this morning a driver backed into the front of the bus behind him, though there was no damage to either bus, and drivers seem to clip the mirror on the approach to the bays. Transport for NSW should...

Re: Region 1, 3, 12, 14 - Successful tenders news
Sorry to bring up a conspiracy theory here but, with CDC losing their Westbus service areas and the privatisation of the STA pretty much assured, can Fatty & Co. squash suggestions that CDC may have lost out on the basis that they are pretty much assured a slice of the STA? Does the ICAC want to sa...

6001 (CDC Bonnyrigg) has gone inside Volgren at Prestons during the past week so without actually looking inside I believe that repair work has started, that bus sat outside for ages, over a month.

Re: Private Bus Observations October 2012
6001 (CDC Bonnyrigg) has been sitting at Volgren in Sydney for about three weeks now after suffering a huge front end hit as well as some minor damage along the sides, some of the side panels got removed on Thursday 4/10/12 but the vehicle itself is still outside sitting idle, I don't know if I'm al...

Re: ZF4HP500
You will need to change or re-program the ECU. as what will happen with the different selector giving more inputs to the control unit won't do anything unless the ECU. is programmed for that. A changeover such as that might also require some electrical harness replacement too, I'm not sure though be...

Re: Volvo THD 100 engine specs
Ummm, hi. Is this engine a vertical one or is it horizontal? That's my first question because if it is vertical (which it sounds like) the engine prefix is different. My second question is regarding the Allison, I don't actually know of a three speeder and so I'm wondering what the model number is f...

Re: BCI Classmaster Mystery Noise Front End.
Ok here's some serious thought from a mechanic of over 26 years experience. That noise is quite simply coming from something that moves when the vehicle is obviously. It's not suspension related because it wouldn't do it on smooth roads which I believe isn't the case, it's something to do with what ...

Re: Graffiti on Glendenning Buses
I wonder if he managed to get the CDI or not? I've also seen that there's some new VSTs there as well this week so this might hurt Busways a lot, I don't know how he's gotten in though because I'm sure that there's an electric fence around the yard too.

Re: Bustech CDi DD: Busways 1048 in Sydney 23/08/12
The demo that Forest were using got sold to Translink (QLD) and has been repainted to the best of my knowledge. This vehicle here is the third CDI that Bustech built, it was the demo that they had painted with kangaroos on the sides. You have to keep up with Bustech on Facebook and then you'll have ...

The all time best was from Ryde depot where, for a while, a few years ago there was a desto available on all gas Mercs that showed ..............CAPTAIN CH FERAL WARRIOR (momentary scroll) KING OF THE VALLEY. This is no doubt a reference to one of esteemed board members, who, in a previous life, wa...

I have one line coming out of the injector pump that will not fully seal, tried some Teflon tape helped some just a slight weep, how to fix? I do not want to over tighten? Try taking the fuel line off and polishing the sealing surface of the olive with some fine grade emery cloth, there might be a ...
