Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

The 411 just outside of Salisbury has two distinct routes too.

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

The 400/224/560 use different roads on and off of John Rice Avenue too.

The 415 and 430 have a slightly different route around The Salisbury Hotel.

The 300/G10 have a different route just outside Flinders University

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

Would you call the 225 around Mawson Lakes two separate buses. Around UniSA and the western side of Mawson Interchange, the route does separate a little.

You can say the same about the 501, 565 and make a strong argument about the 411/411U.

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

I will be interested on how you will cover routes such as 724, 721L and some of the other odd services down south.

I suggest doing the 733G on a Saturday night. You don't have that long of a wait at the top of the hill for the N721.

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

A gunzel's suggestion if I could - when doing the 421, take your hiking shoes. I suggest getting back to the RAAF Base, turning right, and walk north. Use your GPS to find the 451 route. Or, just sit around old Penfield No 3 Railway Station all day for the return trip!! Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Re: EVERY Adelaide Metro Route

I wish you luck. Have you thought of routes like 451A from Elizabeth? What would you do with the 225? From Salisbury you have 225 to Gepps Cross, 225X to the city, 225F to the city and 225M to Mawson Interchange. Will you ride all 4 services? Will you ride the 400A from Salisbury North to Salisbury?...

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations

I cannot recall this being posted. Bus stops have been placed on Martins Rd Parafield Gardens near Shepherdson Rd round a bout. These stops are solely for 404R. This is after many requests from the lifestyle village. Residents can now access these shops on the 404R. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Rare vehicles still in service

115 or 117 generally does the 591 loop service from Golden Grove Village in the am and pm. 117 has been lacking power uphill lately. It is around a 40 minute ride.

Re: [Mar/Apr 2017] SA Transport observations

Just spotted in Mawson Lakes going to Elizabeth.

3232 is doing a 224F.

Must have been some bus shuffling to cover the rail subs.

Re: MAN 11.190 HOCL-NL Retirements

I do take a few 591s lately (too lazy to walk up and down the steep hill!!)

My 591s recently have all been 117. No sign of 115 either on that route or out and about.

Am I just blind?

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread

I took a 361 yesterday and noticed a lot of the Grand Junction Road stops has the suffix G or H (stop 35G for example).

When did they change to be like that?

Re: Double Decker buses operating in Adelaide

That J1X trial was doomed to start with. Having a service every hour in mornings and night vs a regular 15 minute service. It was hard to get it off the ground in my opinion. The current J1X, including stopping patterns, may prove more popular. And it may mean we buy our own deckers for this route. ...

Re: Tram planning as part of a bigger public transport pictu

It's a very interesting read. This obsession that this Government has with trams is fascinating. I get the extension to The Entertainment Centre. Though, I still think it is quicker by bus from the Ent Cent to the Railway Station. I get the extension down King William Road which helps with Adelaide ...

Re: [Mar/Apr 2017] SA Transport observations

Correction, second to last 591C of the day. (Said friend was me, who went to get a ride on 117, got chatting with a driver, who got to Golden Grove 10 min early for the last 591C with 1820 to replace 117 for the last trip as he was not happy with the performance of it, he called it a break down but...

Re: MAN 11.190 HOCL-NL Retirements

I have have moved to Greenwith for 3 months and now get a 591A to get to work. Last few weeks they have been Midis (115/117). Today the morning circuits were being done by 1808.

It means nothing I know, as both could be being serviced or off doing other routes.

Re: [July/Aug 2016] SA transport observations

I've been on 430s, 565s operated by artics, and I've seen a 462 done by one which is normally done by a Rosa. I'm yet to see one on a Gawler feeder service though, although it's probably happened. In early 2014, the 2:58 225F outbound was operated by an artic, and then did the 4:20 900 from Ann St....
