On my last trip to The Hunter Valley, I noted that this bus had moved from it's previous location.

Re: Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
On the ABC drum tonight they say the main reason Australia is a tad slow with climate change is the two main parties cannot agree on what to do. You also need to take into account the amount of money which is given to political parties as bribes by the fossil fuel industry. Those bribes, which reac...

Re: Railway Observations for 2022.
I had to travel home from the airport at 9pm Monday 14/3 and couldn't believe what a mess the trains were in even at that time of night. My train from Domestic sat idle for 30 minutes because there was a train at every station between there and Central. Instead I took a train to Wolli Creek and (wi...

I think it should stay. I am rarely on here now, though I still find the board useful from time to time.

Footnote; I don't think it's 2418, the Regent III that's been painted in bright red by another hotel, located in Queensland.

Ex Sydney Regent III owned by a hotel
Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I last posted here. A while back (not sure how long), I read an article about a hotel which had bought an ex Sydney AEC Regent III. I'm pretty sure the hotel is in NSW. Could anyone here please help? I have been racking my brains trying to remember as much as...

Re: Syd Wood, bus builders, 1912-1962
Back in the early 1970s, a number of Peter's buses found their way to a property at Ingleburn, in anticipation of a transport museum being established in the Campbelltown area. There was a Reo "pusher" in the mix, and I'm sure Peter told me it had a Mack engine. The museum plan never got ...

AEC 2775
Hi everyone, It's been a long time since I posted here. In April this year, I acquired ex DGT AEC Regal 4 2775 for preservation and restoration as a bus. I am interested in finding photos of it during its government days, though it seems to have been a bit camera shy. If anyone has photos of during ...

Re: Sydney memories: another visit to W
Boronia What a great collection of photos. I've never seen a bus with a tram style desto box before. Did any others have them or was this just a one off? Any western suburb photos to come? Duncan Yes. AEC Regal IV's 2775, 3238, 3262, 3265 & 3266 were fitted with these tramway style desto boxes....

Great photos, Stuart. One question relating to the one in photo 46, though. Is that a trolley bus :?:. Also, what condition were those CX19s in :?:. Regards, Ben The bus in photo 2 & photo 46 is an AEC preselector underfloor (looks like 2775 ?), still with it's Eastern desto blinds in place. :s...

Re: Leyland Leopard
Gday Ben, I bought my blue leopard for $1600 but incomplete, still runs but not road worthy. I am currently doing work on it so I can get it moved and to restore it back to How it was at Burwood. I do know of a couple around Sydney but unsure if they are or would be for sale. I do know of another o...

Leyland Leopard
Hi everyone,
I'm in the Sydney area. I am wondering how much second hand Leyland Leopards sell for roughly? Are there any for sale at the moment around Sydney that are complete?

Re: Eastwood History
One ever so slight problem. Epping Road is just as bad before Wicks Road. North Ryde has fallen victim to saturated development without commensurate upgrades to road infrastructure. The Epping Road flyover was built in 1978 FFS. It was constructed in anticipation of the County Road joining up from ...
