It seems the line is not yet handed over to the operator, and it will take another 6-8 weeks of trial operations after handover.

Re: Bus Observations 2024
Timeframe likely to have been a major consideration. Had Transit Systems been able to commission the 50 Custom Denning Elements it has in store that would have largely provided the necessary number of buses, that presumably is not likely to happen requiring a plan B. TfNSW is stating that it has no...

280 is being taken over by Keolis Downer Northern Beaches . Temporary arrangement apparently due to a driver shortage. With Route 137 merging into Route 280, I wonder if the takeover by Keolis Downer is permanent. https://transportnsw.info/news/2024/service-adjustments-for-buses-on-northern-beaches

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown
Chatswood to Sydenham is an entirely new line. Sent from my SM-S911B using Tapatalk But the point is that the conversion of the existing Bankstown Line to driverless metro isn't a new line. That's the difference. While it's completely feasible to convert legacy rail lines to GoA2, with a driver sti...

Sydney Metro has 4 weekend closures in March, 2 in April and 2 in May. This is just awful. Sydney Metro's parent company MTR opened various extensions in its home country Hong Kong (East Rail Line, Kwun Tong Line, Island Line) and all of them opened without disrupting the existing service to...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown
I think the trackwork timetable this week is a good indication on what to expect. Liverpool starters are re-routed via Regents Park. St Peters and Erskineville are served by Campbelltown starters in peak and Sydenham starters in off-peak. I'm not sure where you get the idea that there will be Syden...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

Re: Bus Observations 2023
433 and 504 improvements appear to be caused by reallocation from the 431 and 504X respectively. 389, 438X, 442 and 470 improvements aren't explained by reallocation. Entirely likely that TSA has hired enough extra drivers to cover the demand, region 6 is one of the most populous regions after all....

As the weekend cap is increased by 50c, probably the daily cap will be increased by a hefty $1.
It is also a fact that the weekday cap is always set as twice the weekend cap.
