Getting ready for all the extra rail replacement coming up for the second part of the year,
Companies everywhere are dry hiring buses from all over OZ to facilitate the mass of working coming up.

geelong overnight coach from southern cross
Hello
Does anyone know which company will be doing the overnighters to Geelong?
I would assume it will be a Geelong mob, but it's not a given I'm sure.

I am not a fan of the red seats mixed in with the blue, reminds me of the party bus days, where if a seat got slashed or wrecked, it was cheaper just to put any old color seat we had straight in to keep the show on the road

Re: Airport buses defective
We sold our business to a Chinese company, they bought 30 new buses and are really doing well in the marketplace from what I can see. The other problem I see with these companies is that they do some really long trips 7 days a week, great ocean road penguins grampians sovereign hill etc So I think h...

Just wondering has anyone seen who or if any tram replacement buses have been doing anywork with tram closures in certain areas/zones. Just wondering who may have got such a long term contract to do this work, if it's going to be a 10 year project. :| To prepare for major construction on the Metro T...

Looks like a $400000 bus that has little presence. Here is one of Sita's buses that owe them next to nothing and look just as good from a public's point of view in my eyes. Also I know it's just a demo, but is it legal to run a passenger bus for profit on standard Victorian number plates reg...

Jobs board
Hello all, I don't know what others think, but considering no one has posted anything in this subsection for 6 + months, I think changing this to a jobs board would be more beneficial. This means if anyone knows of any jobs, work coming up, leads or names of companies if someone wish apply direct et...

what does the c mean in this gear pattern?
Noticed this bus at manheim and whilst flicking through the photo's I wondered what the C stands for in the gear pattern, plus is it unusual that its back to front, or is that due to it being a european type set up on this 1995 MAN? This is the link to the bus http://www.manheim.com.au/trucks-machin...

They cannot be altered unless a diff change is performed. The 3 speed renk gearbox still is not a big fan of 100 km diffs.

Re: Bus theft
If it was stolen from the SITA yard, its a 250 meter walk around all the yard to the back corner to get into one of the mini buses, plus they would have to walk past the re fuellers station [2 blokes manning that fuel station], drive around the whole depot and out the gates which the overnight mecha...

Wow,
That sounds healthy and drives well, to the lady who said that bus was old, I would have kindly asked her to wait for a modern bus to arrive if this was not adequate to her requirements.

Re: 1982 M.A.N fuel gauge
In those I know with the sl200 MET bus units, they were deliberately not fitted with fuel gauges, as they worked on the theory that drivers would get lazy thinking there was enough fuel to finish there next shift, so they made drivers fill a full tank at the end of every shift or when they drove bac...

most clubs that are not dominated by a Ford or Holden badge will be more than obliging usually. Remember you pay annual membership of around $100 to join to the club. Perhaps look up Mercedes clubs, or even historical truck clubs, most people at these clubs are friendly and will refer you down the r...

club reg permit and plates the old girl
90 days use a year
$150 approx
Im sure its 25 years or older being a 303.
Sounds like you have had the RWC done recently if you were paying the rego.
Just a suggestion and definitely not illegal according to vic roads.

Is it worth putting advertising wrap on a bus that would not be used all day every day?
A wrap of that size is worth nearly as much as that bus is
Does look good though
