Link SA bus route numbers

Upcoming change to LinkSA route numbers in the Northern Adelaide Hills and Barossa. Moving away from the traditional 3-digit route numbers to a new 4-digit scheme. Potentially they want to reuse the 800 series of numbers for Adelaide Metro services? I think both the 800 and 810 routes have had these...

Re: Regional Bus Contracts

Looks like YP Coaches have changed their name to just Peninsula Coachlines

Interesting their website now has a Port Lincoln and KI tab. When you click on them, it says information coming soon effective 1 October 2023.

Re: Regional Bus Contracts

Also new 1258 route from Cape Jervis to Goolwa 7 days a week is good to see.

Also now additional Goolwa/Victor to Adelaide City services too.

Stateliner and Yorke Peninsula Coaches have also published updated timetables effective from October. Nice fresh new format from Stateliner too.

Re: Regional Bus Contracts

I suspect that the contracted service to Cape Jervis refers to one (return) trip daily, as shown on the Sealink website at https://cms-cdn.travellink.com.au/volumes/sealink/documents/2023-2024-Website-PDFs/SeaLink_Public_Coach_Service-2023-24.pdf. It wouldn't surprise me if Sealink continue to oper...

Re: Regional Bus Contracts

I’ve heard too that Premier Stateliner have won the Riverland towns services & LinkSA has won the SeaLink bus service to & from Cape Jervis Wow that's a big change if LinkSA won the Cape Jervis bus service? Presume that it might be altered to run from Seaford Railway Station like the LinkSA...

Re: Regional Bus Contracts

Source for the above information. Its good to see a South Australian company winning both Whyalla and Port Augusta. It looks like maybe Port Pirie Bus service found Port Augusta a little too much for them- that is my opinion. Keolis Downer aka Link SA for Mount Gambier is interesting because wasn't...

Would be good to see what span of hours and frequency for the Riverlea services and what other changes at Northgate to compensate for the Go zone or whether the go zone will be feeder in off peak and peak direct to city. The details are all at the above AdMet website link. 3 x AM peak hour services...

Interesting to see that occur!

Presume new timetables will be out sometime this week?

July 2023 AdMet timetable changes

With the next round of timetable changes due on Sunday 23rd July, the only 2 major service changes hinted at so far are the 230/232 route changes and a new Lightsview Go Zone via the O-Bahn. Any others people know of?

Re: State Budget 2023-2024

Some good news in the State Budget with $1.3 to $1.5 million being spend each year for four years on a City to Lightsview Go-Zone should be completed by June 2023 Quarter (so really soon)- probably a July 2023 timetable change coming up. Regional bus services get a boost of between $5.5m to $6.2m e...

Re: [Jan-Jun 2023] SA Transport observations

Many routes have timetable updates from Monday: https://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/service-disruptions/bus-timetable-changes-from-1-may-2023 Mainly seems to be removing trips from the timetable that haven’t been run anyway. I do notice 2 new round 835 trips between Mt Barker and Lobethal in the middl...

Regional Bus Contracts

It's been over 6 months since the tenders closed for the Regional Bus Contracts https://www.tenders.sa.gov.au/tender/view?id=238881 I thought they were meant to commence on July 1, 2023. Does anyone have any updates? Will be interesting to see if there are any changes to operators from LinkSA and Pr...

Not sure if anyone has tried this app - it is free and currently tracks in real time LinkSA Barossa and Murray Bridge services. From memory it also provides fleet numbers. Soon to also show their Fleurieu and TTP to Mt Pleasant runs as well. This is part of the LinkSA smartcard roll out starting fro...

About time some penalties started being dished out for this ongoing drama, the contractors might take more notice of it then. It's no good banging the "COVID" and "staff shortage" drums anymore, people are sick to death of those excuses; it's time to start thinking about ways ou...

Interesting...so sounds like TT have been getting their regular contractual payments even though they're running less services and paying less drivers due to the Covid service reductions?

With the consultation on amendments to the 230/232 timetable hinting at service changes in July 2023, has anyone had any insight onto what other changes may occur? Noticed some interesting service gaps this leaves e.g. 557 route. Now a gap from 546pm until 752pm on weekday evenings from TTP to Paradise.

Any other large gaps others have noticed?

Re: Modified Bus timetables from Monday 31st January

Is this due to a shortage of bus drivers (given the big recruitment effort going on now) or is it due to positive covid cases and isolation requirements for drivers?
