Re: January 2021 timetable changes

Good point Phonj and Jibb

Potentially they'll start on the 26th on the Public Holiday.

Any idea if the changes will involve more than tweaking of time points? I'm thinking that as a new contractor Busways may have some changes they want to implement in the Outer South?

Re: January 2021 timetable changes

With the new timetables likely starting for the new School year, I presume Sunday 24th January will be the start date. Therefore information on the changes should be out early next week I would guess!

January 2021 timetable changes

Does anyone know if there will be the normal January timetable changes next month? Or will there be any bus timetable changes linked to the new Seaford/Flinders Line timetables which start after Christmas?

It's a pity they can't integrate with MetroCards to enable LinkSA customers to more easily transfer to AdMet services - https://www.linksa.com.au/service-updates/

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread

In line with the attempt in the 2000s to reduce patronage by having trains run express from Dry Creek to Adelaide on weekends at hourly intervals, I was thinking that maybe every second 150 on weekends could run express to and from stop 25 Port Rd to the city (and reverse), from first service to ab...

Re: What to do & see on Adelaide PT!

A good bus company for the hills and surrounds to use is Link SA. Services I have used to link with Metro and Non-Metro services are the 801 from TTP to Lobethal to connect with an 834/835. Also there is a service that runs on school days from Strathalbyn to Murray Bridge (am) and Murray Bridge to ...

Next Timetable Changes

After the cancellation of the New Network, does anyone have any idea when the next bus route changes will be? I presume the new contractors have some ideas on service improvements. Will a New Network 2 appear or will there just be some 'standard' changes that we normally see in either October or Jan...

Broken Hill bus

I noticed today in the City that the NSW TrainLink Bus from Adelaide - Broken Hill is still going, despite Covid19 restrictions - anyone know what the patronage is like? I'd imagine not many are on board due to border restrictions. Also given the timetable has few stops mentioned, am I correct in th...

Re: Adelaide Bus Network Simplification Ideas

One I've thought of this morning. Now that Torrens run both 228 and J1 if 228 was to deviate via the Lyell McEwin and times adjusted they'll have a Go Zone beteeen Elizabeth East and Salisbury Heights The J1 doesn’t service all stops so that would have to change for it to be a Go Zone. Also J1 serv...

Re: Consultation on new AdMet Network

Another slight tweak that may not cause much fuss could be removing the 565 unless there is massive demand between Stop 37C and Ingle Farm Shops which still has 500-501-502, 560 and 229 services. 566 services cover the Mawson to Ingle Farm stretch and use the extra kms to extend the 415 to Golden G...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals

There is a possibility of the current Pooraka Depot closing when Torrens Transit takes over the Outer North contract area in July. That could make a at least 3 TT depots closed or closing? Obviously TT now prefer less but larger depots(keeps their costs down). Pooraka depot become LINK SA DEPOT Any...

Re: Knoll faces Liberal Party revolt on bus cuts

The 313 does go into West Lakes Shops and then continues onto the airport (partly replacing the 288 and J8 services). The only reason 314 at West Lakes Mall is displayed on the map is to show that it terminates there, just like 313 shows up at the airport as its terminus. And 313 and 314 are shown ...

Re: Knoll faces Liberal Party revolt on bus cuts

The State Government is elected to serve and Govern for all of South Australia, I can't see many bus route improvements that he is proposing that will win votes. Pat Conlon and transport ministers after him may of not been perfect but they improvised when needed and fixed the system including,... P...

interesting to see that there are proposed to be routes 810, 811 and 812 in the Hills when LinkSA have these numbers allocated to their Gawler - Barossa services. Very strange!

That level of detail doesn't seem to be anywhere but if you know current network, look at the new network map here - https://dpti.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0010/657451/20132_AM_consultation_map_network_675x1055mm.pdf It becomes clear quickly where the missing stops are given large slabs of ex...

Re: 752 bus route

No real surprise - did a small survey of the 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 services and all were next to empty (2 pax max). A much simpler system for the Southern Vales is planned, reducing 10+ variations to just 4. One option that might work though is extending the 737 to McLaren Vale via Clarendon and McLaren...
