Re: Introducing OPAL Card
Not sure if it's been said, or whether this is the right thread... but Busways (Region 1) went live this week with their Opal readers, and I used it on Monday. Supposedly; the drivers were given a 3 1/2 hour lesson on using the Opal machine in conjunction with their machines. One driver said that fo...

Re: Private Operator Observations - August 2014
Just out of curiosity, has anybody seen a 691 (of BMBC, Penrith-Mt Riverview) operating with the desto displaying 691? I always see them operating as 690B at Penrith... When the routes were all changed back in January 2010, the 691 itself was curtailed to Blaxland - Mount Riverview. Services from P...

Re: New Routes for Western Sydney Busways
In the original proposal to TfNSW route 794 was meant to go via Nepean Hospital, which I think would have attracted more patronage than the chosen duplication of 791/793. I think the reason that the 794 isn't (or wouldn't) go to Nepean Hospital is because the 774/5/6 already go right past the hospi...

Re: New Routes for Western Sydney Busways
I just checked the Busways site and it seems that at least the 794 route is up on the website at http://busways.com.au/travelling-with-us/route/794/route-794-penrith-glenmore-park-northern-rd/20140518 Looks like it will follow the 791 route to the corner of Evan Street & Smith Street before followin...

Re: Social TfNSW
Most of the busways twitter feeds aren't used as much as most of them are brand new (like Busways Penrith at https://twitter.com/BuswaysPenrith) as the main Busways twitter feed is used more often (https://twitter.com/BuswaysGroup). I live in Region 1, so I have to use Busways... and when I tweet to...

Re: Busways 6th and 20th October timetables.
time to bother busways again... busways camden/campbelltown has not uploaded their timetables yet anybody knows the fate of S7 and S12? they still appear on 131500, but their timetables are not up... I think Busways lost that contract, with buses going to Busabout. This news release might help http...

I just got back into playing this game. Got a couple of extra additions such as double-decker buses and streetcars, but even with those additions; it is such a great game... now only if I could get my Aussie Town Names mod working properly; I would be in seventh heaven

Re: Private Operators New Timetable - other than Busways
Transit Systems website seems to be down when I go searching for the timetables of the routes that they are taking over http://www.transitsystems.com.au/sydney-buses is still up but no timetables. Do you have a later URL for their website? Found the issue. The main site has the URL set to http://ww...

Re: Desto Time 30 - Bosnjaks Penrith
Really nice to see these old-styled destos. Can't believe there was a time when Penrith services had no runs to Glenmore Park or even Mount Druitt.... and the old 790 route (probably not that one), but I remember an old 790 going to Nepean Hospital and then onwards to St Marys

Re: New STA timetables 20/10/2013
Just curious as to what has happened to the 400 service (Burwood - Bondi Junction via Airport). Has it been absorbed by other routes or just scrapped all together in order to get more people to use the Airport Line.

Have SydneyTrains stations now got the new timetables. I have the printed copies from the website but would love to have a hard copy of the new timetables for my ever growing timetable collection

Re: Busways 6th and 20th October timetables.
Just had a look at the new Busways timetables and bare the deletion of the 751 (which was basically a duplicate of the 752), the 752 not being a loop service anymore, the introduction of the T72 and adding all of the Westbus/Hawkesbury Valley routes (which don't seem to have changed at all, bare tim...

I can count at least 6.... 5 in the front, and one right at the back of the queue; there might also be the possibility of a seventh (metrobus); but it might be a Sydney Buses metrobus; just don't know

14 Feb as pointed out by Doug C in another post. Doesn't route M60 start from Parramatta? Yeah; M60 does start from Parramatta. Looks like it goes straight up Church Street to Baulkham Hills Junction then follows the M61 to Castle Hill then onwards as Ted has indicated in the first post; then onwar...

Re: Bus Interchanges - Sydney
Go out to Penrith to get confused. There are stands numbered between 1 and 18, but really only 4 stands. :? :? I do agree that Penrith's interchange is a little bit confusing if you don't use it regularly, however; passengers would notice the large, blue posts that have all the timetables on it, as...

The M54 already stops at the corner of Rembrandt Street and Carlingford Road, a bus stop that stops pretty much outside Carlingford Court, and it is only a 2 minute walk from that bus stop to an enterance

The buses are around 3.3m, whereas the bridge has a clearance of 3.4m. Open to correction It sure caught my eye, they sure look close to hitting the A/C pod  great shots caught my eye just then.... woh!!! Might be good for the buses to use the left lane under that bridge. Also; the desto on ...
