Re: What makes you happy today?

Not the American taken over version the respected Ed China quit from, basically due to his disgust at the direction it was taking.
Americans have NFI about a good quality British show.
Everything has to be super slick looking for those idiots.

The drivers' own unions in NSW decided that passengers must walk past the driver, so they can hardly complain.
Just protecting the drivers from more opportunity to be blamed by depot managers.

Re: Sydney’s public transport growing back differently post-pandemic

I wonder how many passengers will wear it with their nose hanging out like I see many people do, our fail to wear one at all, causing a stalemate with the long suffering driver?
I bet management who crawl to the passenger most of the time, won't back up the driver as usual.

Re: (YT) Bondi Jcn Interchange in 2014.

I used to get frustrated at television shows in the 1990s, when showing past footage, would show loads of the usual grainy stuff from the 20s and 30s aplenty then skip to recent stuff with scant attention to the 70s and 80s, sometimes none. Only now do we see more stuff from that era and it's gold! ...

(YT) Bondi Jcn Interchange in 2014.

This came up in my recommended. Nice to see footage of Mark Vs intermingling with other types we see today.

They used to be the latest ones intermingling with the last Mark II Leyland Leopards before their withdrawal in 1989. This is their turn 25 years later.

Loath that very generic looking (and super imaginatively named ) Newcastle Transport sticker slapped on the front.

Ah, interesting. There doesn't seem to be any details out yet. Unfortunately there have been very few details at all since this all started to emerge on Sunday night - vague references to fewer services, occasional references to Sunday timetables and a generally confused and lacklustre communicatio...

It mentioned they are no longer simply running to a Sunday timetable like originally planned. They are altering that plan.

Are you referring to just the Metro, or are there changes to timetables on other services? I saw some complaints on Reddit about crowding at Town Hall platforms.
They were referring to bus services and presumably other modes as well.

Item on Seven News last night on people being, stranded by the Sunday timetables and less services leading to people being crammed into services or not being able board at all. They are now having to scrap that idea.

I do agree bonded looks much cleaner and more overtly modern in appearance, but reality says go for the "mechanically" mounted option in some operating environments sadly. That's why the Ansair Orana continues to look contemporary. Well done capturing the Element in it's element out on the street! N...

Re: Parramatta City Council "The Loop" 1/9/08

These Parra Loop buses were quite a unique chapter in bus operation history well worth adding there. Remnants of the branding still exist on what used to be The Loop route. Got quite a surprise to see seats outside Parramatta RSL with The Loop branding on - still - long after the branding disappear...

Re: Sydney’s public transport growing back differently post-pandemic

Maybe they should have what's called an extended Sunday timetable where they tack on extra hourly services at the beginning and end where required. Very difficult though. Maybe treat the extensions as voluntary overtime.
