Re: Bus Observations 2023
I have been in touch with U-GO Mobility a number of times in the past week or so concerning the buses which are being tracked with incorrect fleet numbers. The last communication indicated that they had been advised by Transport for NSW that nothing could be done to correct this and that buses woul...

Re: Ferry Observations 2023
Queenscliff has returned to service. No sign of the hourly Freshwater service being introduced yet. Status quo will probably remain with a second ferry added as and when should sunny days ever return to Sydney. It was on one of the commercial station's evening news reports the other night (maybe ye...

Re: Bus Observations 2023
Well the Euro 6 engine has a displacement of just 8L or so, versus around 12L for the predecessors, so at least in its case, I'd say a totally new engine. Not sure about the others. Thanks for clarifying. It sounds good in the new Busways Custom Endeavours I've ridden. Not too turbocharged like the...

An OC500LE that's almost 20 years old while Busways is taking deliveries of the last ones on the Aussie market at least.
I don't know how long this chassis has been in sale in Australia but the O305 and 0405 weren't sold for as long as the OC500LE has been.

Glenorie MAN reminds me of their oddbod PMC Progress MAN with spiderwheels they were running back in 90 when I had a ride in it.
A Leyland Tiger with that body also with Glenorie rings a bell in the recesses of my mind.

Now that Worldmaster with the early 80s Custom Coaches rebody is a good use of the wheel trims.
Love the Volvo B58. A set of American style two hole rims would really set it off, but well done all the same.

Geert Wilders won big in Holland. It filled me with joy to read that yesterday. It's very good that the Dutch people finally caught onto reality that unfettered immigration is catastrophic to the nation's well being.

There's a metallic green ZH Fairlane I see around Woy Woy and Umina quite regularly. I've spotted it twice in recent weeks, the latest only within the last week. Excellent condition driven by a guy who looks old enough to have had it since new or near new. IMG_20231124_125859_copy_992x560.jpg IMG_2...

Are you talking about the earliest type Bustech MAN 18.310/18.320s with the wraparound headlamps?Campbelltown busboy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2023 7:56 pm
Didn't Busways also get Bustech to clip the XDI front onto their VST bodied MANs
I thought that was a standard VST mark III.

Re: Bus Observations 2023
I thought that was a custom order from Busways (Custom was the company name after all) for the old front clip to be fitted on the CB60 EVOII body because maybe they preferred the old look (haha GM reference) and didn't have any other CB60 buses and that was going to be their last chance to have buse...

Re: Bus Observations 2023
Endeavours are not CB80s. If anything they have a lot more in common with the Element, sharing the same rear end and very similar interiors. I disagree. Endeavours are a restyled and apparently simpler / quicker / cheaper to manufacture version of the CB80. There are a lot of common interior fittin...
