Re: What makes you happy today?

Judge Judy's always been grumpy with people who waste her time - she'll take a bite out of your ass and chew it then give it back to you when you least expect it! 20 years sitting on the bench of family court does that. She's a very different person when being interviewed. Very funny and interestin...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

A usual the driver and passenger, you know, the people that have to experience/endure the end product, come last in the consideration both by the body builder and chassis manufacturer. Satisfying poorly thought out laws is absolute priority. Running into familiar people at the supermarket, especiall...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

Wynyard Walk, nice as it is, is only "attractive" if you're fit. There would be lots of passengers seeking the "least walking" route. Walking is the best exercise for unfit people as anyone can do it as long as they pace themselves accordingly. This covered and relatively safe route may well save t...

Great Information guys.
The problem in the bus is getting the driver to wait otherwise you get charged a fare at the next stop!

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

George St was a horrid blight on the CBD. This is one aspect of the light rail that has been immensely beneficial. Sydney badly needs catching up with the rest of the world and this expenditure on capital works is going towards eliminating the long standing foul aspects of Sydney. Now if only they'd...

They were truly amazing machines in the 1960s and remain amazing today.
My dad and his brother rode them too in Vietnam. It's a pity you never met my dad Capt, although he rarely talks about his time there.

Re: Opal Discussion and Observations

For the second time, I mistakenly tapped my debit card on the Opal reader in the bus the other day. The other time I was at a train station and the station attendant said to tap again and it reversed it. On the bus it wouldn't reverse. I didn't realise you have to wait 15 secs first as I had at the ...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

Will North Sydney station be linked by underground walkway to the metro? Why not just call it North Sydney?
The proposed Barangeroo should be called Wynyard West or Hungry Mile station. It's like the heavily left leaning elitist PC class want to gloss over our modern history.

Re: Anyone been in a helicopter?

Do you mean a Hughes MD500 like this? https://youtu.be/bE56Nf6lsSQ They're mad! I do admire the Eurocopter "squirrel" for their sheer capability. I remember Nine in Sydney getting theirs while Seven still "made do" with their red 206 Jetranger. It certainly raised Nine's status to me. I spoke to a g...

Another case of a hubbo being older than the vehicle it's attached to, but not by much. The truck, a Kenworth tipper, is from 1979, the hubodometer is from 1977.

You're lucky. My main interests are the 206 and Huey.
What was the 206 like and has the III got two rotors?
Nothing well ever surpass the looks and sounds of the 206.

I gathered as much. That bit of glass forward of the doors gives it that Mack Renault look even though the real thing extends lower. I just thought it was interesting.

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore

I wish I could give a thanks to that. You get the impression the complainers come out of the woodwork whenever any adjustments are made or proposed to any long established services that no longer serve the area the way they once did. Hear them out by all means, but don't give them so much sway in th...

When protesters (trouble makers) complain to the media that police were heavy handed (translated: tough and effective against them) just for doing a good job in restoring public order. They always resort to that line when they didn't get their way in being rampaging hooligans.

82 Chevy Malibu imported from the states outside a fabrication shop for Woy Woy. I'll leave out up to others to express what they think of this work.

I used a screwdriver to pry off the retaining ring and slid out the mechanism. Interesting to see how it works. IMG_20201015_213521-1000x564.jpg Plastic disc in body moves a lever up and down.
