Hi George
If it is non DDEC with a seperate speedo and tacho it should have two rows of lights along the top of the dash. If so and all is standard than the light you have on is the Alt light.
Just curious Is it a bus or motorhome?

Re: Leyland Terrier V8 to Kenworth Motorhome
Hi Adam Great idea, I for one would love to see and hear more about your progress. I too once dreamed about putting a Kenworth aerodyne cab on a Denning Landseer, But some rough photoshop pictures didn't quiet show the results I had hoped. That and I don't have the skills to actually build the thing...

Re: Help to identify conversion
Hi NevilleJames If you have a normal Landseer than the chassis rails are practically hard up against the floor each side of the isle. The isle is acyually sunk between the chassis rails, so lowering the floor may be a more expensive exercise than raising the roof. Although a roof raise for $25000 is...

Hi Yes like me I wanted to do it my way, but I ended up finding one that was pretty close hence the track I took. I think this is a pretty good unit http://www.caravancampingsales.com.au/buy/private/SSE-AD-37111/Denning-Jumbo?cr=14&psq=%28%28%28%28%28%28SiloType%3D%5BDealer%20New%5D%7CSiloType%3D%5B...

Re: Go big or go bus
Hi I reckon you can't go wrong with a Landseer, or maybe even something a bit more modern like a Austral Denning or MCA as the Landseers are getting up to 30 years old now. But I would suggest looking around for one already converted, there is a lot that have been for sale for a long time. Sure to s...

Re: Denning Landseer which one to buy
Hi cdn_downunder you have bought my old thread back from the depths. It is not a denning I don't think. I ended up selling my 3axle before I finished it and bought a completed shorter 2 axle jobbie. I sent you a PM, but as this is your first post I am not sure you will get it. If you don't send me a...

Re: Engine Swaps/Repowering For Buses,Coaches and Trucks?
My 10.5 Metre Austral Denning aspire has had the original series 50 Detroit replaced by a 410HP CAT C12.
I imagine the CAT is a lot longer than the 4 cylinder 50 series, and it just fits in there.
I'd say it probably goes a little better too

Firefly ...Austral Denning Aspire Photos wanted
Hi
I have previously posted this in the Tas section, but have now got a bit more history on it.
Does anyone have any pics or info on an Austral Denning aspire Body Number CA00940 that was new to Firefly in 1996, which then went to Tassie at some point?
This is it now
Thanx
Glen

Re: whats your favourite bus for a motorhome?
ToolMans post seems to have disappeared but I am sure he would have been voting Landseer as well. Toolman your post is back (not sure what happened there). Yes that 350HP 6V92 in that size vehicle would sure be nice. Sort of similar to the 410HP C12 Cat in my 10Metre Austral Denning I guess, it does...

Re: Dealing with sunken aisles? And raising the roofs?
Hi Denv12 If you don't want to have to worry about dealing with the sunken isle and raising the roof you can buy my Landseer shell already done. It is for sale. My roof raise was 400mm and the isle is just empty space. I was thinking of using it for a heating duct like Dirk and for running cables an...

Hi Thanx I found them photos and thought they weren't the ones, I gues anything can change due to repairs etc, but the ASPIRE wording seems to be larger in the photos and the high indicators on the front of two of them. Austral denning Aspire do you know it?
Hi I am hoping someone might have some details of a 1996 Austral Denning Aspire that I believe once roamed in Tassie. It seems to have different front marker/clearance lights to some picture I have found and a rear mount air conditioner rather than front. Any Pics or information would be welcome tha...

Hi Cary
If you are keen on dropping the floor. I have heard of it being done fairly easily on both the Denning and Austral Hidecks.
I have heard the Twin turbo 0303 get along pretty well, but don't know about parts etc
