Re: Austral Tourmaster/Mercedes 0303's?
Hi, thinking the Turbo 0303 didn't come out to 1992, I don't think Coffs Harbour Coaches had an Austral 0303/3 Turbo, I feel it was an MCA.
Howards & Swan Hill Bus Lines had the nicest 0303/3 Austral Tourmasters on the road.

Re: Denning Hi-Deck Landseer History.
Three of the best, in one of the above posts, somebody mentioned the High Deck performed better, it had aa different chassis to the conventional Landseer along with stiffer panard rods to keep it level. With Manly Coaches having number plate TV15, I find that maby a bit confusing as AAT had 000 to 1...

This bus is?
Wonder what the history of this beauty with it's east west engine, was it to get a longer wheel base and smoother ride?

Re: EX ANSETT PIONEER MERCS
I would say the above post was number 55 from the AAT Central Australian Fleet ex 30 something from APT Sydney in 90 - 91, Number 55 had its back window smashed on a Globus Gateway job coming through the gap in Alice, plus Ansett units did not have ring feeder connections, the only Ansett Unit we ha...

Re: Sunstate Coaches
As stated it entered, it left - very quickly and might have been part of the deal for APT/AAT to buy the remaining 18 deckers - Deluxe might not have financed it!! Being No 220

Re: Sunstate Coaches
The Sunstate Decker must have been bought off somebody inbetween Deluxe and very quickly in early 91 as it was in the Page Magerary fleet for a few months before it went to Sita

Austral - MD1
Like to start a topic & photo posts on the Austral MD1, personally I believe they where the best Austral to drive, the chassis handling was so different to the 84 to 89 models, love to see as many different liveries as possible.

Re: Coach liveries:name some of the best?
I don't have a photo, but I'm sure somebody does. I would like to suggest that Kirklands Setra's where amazing. If anybody remembers or wants to comment, the detail on the Setra's was so different to the Australs or Volgren Deckers they had.

Re: Premier Decker
Trace the history of this vehicle, it was over 600hp, if not very close. Dominic loved it and was not happy when his brother sold it to me. Now Mr Bean has it & it is in good hands, just a shame it can't perform to it's full potential on the east coast, like it did in the Territory. Plus they were 4...

Re: Tyres
Daz We used to fit ZXA2 to our Austal's and Scania's, as they were super quiet and realy good in the wet season, but XZE2 both being 295/80's to the Deckers and Dennings, and XZY3's to drives and laxy's, got about 110,000 out of drives except for our 600hp decker, it just chewed throw the tyres but ...
