Re: ex MTT 235 - BUT trolleybus

Yep, I can remember riding these and paying 4 cents to and from school and 5 cents other times. Fare from Newtown Station to Hobart rail terminal on the train was 2 cents at the time and 3 cents from Moonah station. :D

Re: 617 and the bridge

T...

Only 320hp Aren't they Neil, might be ok for freeway running but hills around Hobart would be a struggle for them.

Re: Metro's "NEW" MAN artic

It was travelling along the Tulla Freeway all its previous life now its in a culture shock having to go up and down hills and around the streets in Hobart and it will be a slow trip up the southern outlet. Will be interesting to see how they go as time progresses.

Re: MTT 131 SB3 Bedford [City Bodyworks body]

Would catch the bus there to go to upper Burnie back then. Not sure if the Cream and Green would suit the fleet these days unless of course it was a very updated version but in the day it was a good livery. Anything would be better than kitchen appliance white. Maybe I should paint the front of my ...

Sorry to hear that Tim, I remember Ayers Coaches running up the derwent valley when living up there and the Tasmanian Coach lines Days. He was certainly a Industry pioneer in Tasmania. May he rest in peace.

Re: New Greyhound Irizar buses, 2012

Greyhound 3 axel would be most likely a Volvo B13R or one of the first of the B11Rs as the cross over from the last of the B13Rs or the first of the B11Rs occurred think it was around early 2013. Going by the photo date would say a B11R , Adams units would be the Volvo B9Rs.

Only time I saw the OH1316's running in Hobart was when they were coming up from Ansair Kingston en route to Springfield. I can't recall any in revenue service while in Hobart unless it was a blink of an eye.
